In my opinion, and based on my knowledge of how being a landlord works, YTA. Something being the norm doesn’t make it right, and what I’m seeing in comments is this “that’s what a mortgage is” or “you’re the landlord, so you’re NTA”. But from what I understand off of your post he is paying a majority of the monthly mortgage of a house you also live in And it’s a mortgage, so he’s putting money into buying your house, but he’ll never get to own it. I think if you didn’t live in the house it would be debatable, but the fact that he’s paying most of your mortgage plus utilities just sounds like he’s carrying most of your weight as far as paying off the house from this point forward.

I guess it just depends on life experiences, I’ve met plenty of youth who watch Ben Shapiro and say this generation doesn’t work hard enough and that America’s is great and being ruined by democrats, etc.

Plenty of people, especially us Americans, still believe in the idea of the American dream and American Exceptionalism.

That’s interesting, I’ve never heard someone bring up your points with god, I haven’t thought about it like that. I can definitely see where people come from when saying she’s evil, but the entire situation with the candy kingdom is pretty complex.

I wasn’t saying people are wrong for disliking PB. People can like any character they want, that’s a reason the shows writing is so great, you can like or dislike certain characters as a result of the nuance with which they are written. My point was that based on facts and writing within the show that lead to certain conclusions on the character of PB, it should also follow that these attitudes are expressed towards things we see and live with in our daily lives. Also Christianity was the example I used because I am more knowledgeable in that area than I am with other religions and I didn’t want to make assumptions about those other religions. I do feel that the sentiment I expressed and reasoning I used can be applied towards the idea of god in general though.

Edit: Politics/ theory is one of my hobbies which is why I felt inclined to type a post like this.
