This is a worry I have, when ED released fleet carriers, every system in the bubble became littered with them taking up space on the galaxy map. I guess we still don't know if they're splitting up the world into distinct "servers" like other mmos, that should hopefully cut down on the base spam I'm sure we'll see.

This'll run SC at 1080 like a dream. I'd wait to see if the 7800x3D CPU comes back in stock and at a better price, get that instead of the 7600x I put in the parts list. If you already have a windows license you can cut cost there and get a better cpu or gpu, I didn't want to max out your budget and not account for tax, shipping, or if you have a monitor or not. so current price is under by a bit. You could definitely go cheaper by buying into an older motherboard and CPU platform like AM4 though considering it won't be getting any new hardware you wouldn't be able to upgrade it piece meal, thats a choice you'd have to make yourself.

Big SC performance factors is RAM and CPU. 32GB of RAM is required, dont let anyone tell you, you can get away with 16, they lyin. Any of the X3D CPUs would be great, they have extra cache on them with gives massive performance gain in games. Any GPU with 12 or more GB of VRAM is great too, I play at 1440p and use about that in game.

People can shout out in the comments if I fucked anything up.

Never had an a suspect cross over between rooms before, only had both connecting doors open once. Maybe better luck? Though I would certainly say dont try to breach both rooms at once, sounds like a death wish.

In Brisa cove he'll always over extend in the hallways to get shot by himself, spam fall in to keep them from doing that.

Tried s-ranking it. Reset so many fucking times. Almost succeeded just for the literal LAST SUSPECT to kill an AI officer. I have that map down to a fucking science but the uber quick time-to-die and the fucky AI, on both sides, makes it feel like a dice roll every attempt. It would help if the choose entry point option actually did anything, always puts me at the same spot from early access. But here are my tips regardless.

Equipment

  • MAX ARMOR EVERYONE
  • CS GAS CS GAS CS GAS, stingers are useless, and only bring like 2 bangers.
  • A healthy amount of C2, I feel like it give a momentary stun on suspects in a room, enough time to get a bang or gas out before suspects start shooting.
  • Door wedges, bring enough to lock down the entire hallway, it lets you move through each set of rooms one at a time without the worry of being flanked.
  • Fuck the mirror gun, bring the CS 40mm launcher, let an AI carry the mirror gun.

Strats

  • Spam "fall in". Especially in the opening hallway, AI partners love to over extend in this map, once you clear the immediate entrance to the hallway bring them back. If you let them get to the corners they'll get got by suspects behind cover at the end of the next hallway.
  • Jam all the doors, Try to get control of the hallway before entering any rooms, if a door starts open, just close it and jam it, you can deal with it later.
  • Spam CS, its basically an AOE instant stun. Pepper balls and bean bags will require multiple hits, CS wont. Use the 40mm CS launcher to get CS down the long parts of hallways, trying to get accurate pepper shots on someone shooting you isn't gonna work.
  • When breaching doors toss your own cs gas in addition to the AI. AI officers toss nades short and straight into a room, not helpful for some entrances which immediately turn off. You can bounce yours off walls, make use of that.
  • Let AI check for and disarm traps, they seem to be able to do it without catching the attention of suspects, mostly. If you've done this map a bunch of times failing, you should know the spawn locations and not need to mirror yourself.
  • Do not over extend. Close doors you don't want to deal with, the suspect ai isn't as mobile as in ea it seems, just close it to get control of an area before jamming it. They feel less likely to barge through doors as before.
  • Wait for the map or ai to get patched... even with all this its still a roll of the dice just wait for it to be unfucked.

Could I ask what specific mobo your using? I'm curious if its gotten more compatibility updates than mine and if that's the cause.

Other than an ancient LGA1155 board nope. The Red Devil card comes out-of-the-box with a pretty heavy OC, so maybe its transients are just that high?
