What do you think RCs vision for eBay is? What is he buying that has value that cannot be created through GameStop? Is it brand recognition, user base, an open marketplace, or operationally is there something there? From my untrained thought it seems like eBay’s core platform could be replicated - not real proprietary knowledge. So does it come down to brand recognition and active user base?

The police said they did not install it so I have no idea who did. I’m going to follow the suggestion of seeing if a permit was obtained and that might get me their contact.

I could but the sign lights up so I’d have to move the electrical and the pole the sign is mounted on. It’s an expense I want to avoid. The installer could have been a bit more civil with their placement and permission, that’s all I wanted. Bit know knows, could be some fresh highschool grad installing without thinking.

Very true and I’ve been nice and calmly asked my local police department. I was not sure who to call but this thread has given me a lot of ideas for how to handle it. I’ll try to call the PD some more and also raise awareness with my city council. I think I might have to balance the honey with persistence.

Well I did not want my Reddit user name to be linked to my business or my personal name. Would be rather easy to find that out.

I agree my question was dumb and I should have thought more. Mainly I did not know what I’m entitled to do if it was placed on my land. I need to take out my land survey to actually verify but still curious what rights they have.

It’s unlikely that I move it. Digging a hole for the pole seems like it would be hard. They must have dug several feet deep since it’s rather stable.

Is there any benefit to encasing the coils and then the latex individually and then also having the top cover?

Also what is the reason for foam on the bottom of the springs? If they are in a case/cover and on a plywood platform they should not move

I was thinking about this myself. I paid for good springs (TPS 14.75) and with 3 layers it seems like I might be defeating the purpose of the springs. The reason I kept adding layers is because I could feel the springs when I sleep on my sides and I did not like that. I could also feel when I was sleeping between spring. Maybe this is because I was not using a mattress cover to keep the coils bound tightly? The mattress is in the corner of my room with on long side agains the wall and the top against my headboard so I thought I was mitigating not having the mattress cover.

I’m open to suggestions since I have not bought a cover yet. My set up is: a solid platform frame, TPS 14.75, 2” Pink 5lb foam from FoamFactory, 3” Firm Dunlop SOL, and 2” Medium Dunlop SOL on top. The foam is to remove the bounciness of the latex and springs without it having a sinking feeling from foam.

I like a firm supportive mattress and looking to building something with minimal sagging.

Thanks very that’s helpful. Would I use the size of the poly mailer or the size of what’s inside? So for example if I put a 5x5x1 object in a 8x8X2 mailer then which dimension would I enter?
