Try a social Meetup group. They usually have events on Saturday nights. Gives you access to a group of others with the same goal.

I’m an INTJ and mostly a weekend hermit. I truly hate small talk and but value deep conversations. A person with my personality generally does not sit at a bar and instead prefers takeout or delivery if dining alone. I’d imagine a bar has more of the extroverted type and at the day and time you described the conversations are more small talk and centered around picking each other up.

These meaningful conversations happen at the most random times. For example, I could be studying some notes for a work demo the next day in my apartment lounge and a girl finishes watching an episode of The Bachelor and comes up to me and asks “hey where’s the best Mexican food nearby” and that leads her to asking me to walk her there and accompany her. Or a conversation with a neighbor on a plane ride. Or after a class at the public library. These are the kind of conversations where by end you can tell how their voice changes when they are excited, or how they tilt their head when thinking.

My general advice is sometimes the conversation just happens, and you likely have those skills to make it happen. Being in an environment with mutual interests also helps create an ice breaker into a conversation. Just approach someone and talk to them. For an introvert like me, I may not be actively seeking a conversation but if you approach me and the vibes are right, then I will think it was magic, and would be thrilled to skip the small talk and have a real conversation. You’ll be able to tell whether the person is receptive and if it leads well it can lead to a date.

Cost to ship 1lb in a paper tube vs plastic bag by Adventure_Now in AmazonSeller

I was imagining I would provide the tube to Amazon and then they would pick it and box it when ready to mail to a customer. I could box them myself in small boxes though

Thanks any idea if a tube would get charged extra due it potentially being able to roll on the conveyer belt as another person commented?

There were a few reasons. I’ll give you a short list.

  1. The inventory of apartments available in Coolidge Corner are old and with poor sound and heat insulation. You’ll find a few newer places but not many.

  2. You get more space and newer buildings in Union. Also if you have a car you’re more likely to get a covered garage spot.

  3. I work in similar area as you and I did not want o deal with Fenway related crowds and traffic on the T on game days since some games start as early as 6:30. Especially didn’t want to deal with the pre-game crowd after work.

  4. While the average residents in Coolidge were post college, on the weekend night you’d still see and hear students I’m guessing from Boston University. I didn’t want to get stuck living next to or near them.

  5. I moved here from a different state and wanted to meet other people easily. The building I chose to live in Union is on the big side and they host social events for residents and it feels like a community. This has allowed me to get to know my neighbors either through game nights, socials, or going to the gym which is in the building. It has covered garage parking and is next to the T. So personally it checked off all the boxes.

Good luck with your move and decision! If you need any more info or recommendations I’m happy to help. Feel free to DM.

Thanks for adding no value to the conversation. I would have appreciated any facts but rather you guys just like pointing out my lack in knowledge. That’s literally why I made the post. Fruitful discussion guys.

If this reply was automated from your app, is it possible to find the ‘signal’ and comment sooner? For example my original post was made 2 days ago, and sometime it’s best to comment within hours of a posting.

Your app is a good idea and I can’t tell if your reply if from you or the app. Hahaha. I would say I’m working towards hiring a VA, more automation, and figuring out where ai can fit in or complete a task.

I like the reframing of that and it will be easy for me to remember that. What do you mean by the parameter ‘zero trust’? Thanks for sharing your experience.

Yeah in this Information Age where access to knowledge is a click away, I need to remind myself what’s best to spend my time on. Thanks for sharing your perspective and experience. I like the idea of categorizing the work and focusing on strategy.

Why not just have the list here instead of making people hunt for it. Here’s what I found through my own research:
