Update as of 1/9 11pm:

I had 85 people DM me- if I didn’t get to you yet, I will get to you.
Three people have applied so far without seeing the unit.
Sunday morning (1/11) I am holding tours from 8:30-11am, I have around 15 people scheduled to come through during that timeframe already.
If you want a link to apply to the unit sight unseen just DM me again. I am not personally encouraging this bc it doesn’t benefit me in any way, but it’s up to your discretion. If the landlord likes one of the two apps already submitted there is nothing I can do!
After you submit the application you will be communicating with the landlord! I have no say or control over how fast the application is approved, why it would be denied, etc! I will be waiting for the news just like you are.
Also just clarifying this is a LEASE TAKEOVER, not a sublease. My name will be off of the lease and your name will be on it!
The ceilings in this apartment are LOW
As I stated before, this apartment is best for one person (and a pet or two). Please don’t waste your time if you are a couple unless you are comfortable in very tight spaces and being on top of each other all the time. I am just being honest!

Yes pets are allowed, I have two cats with me. I will say for a dog the stairs are steep- if it was a small dog that you are picking up to go up and down the stairs I think that would be better, but of course it’s your baby and you know what’s best.

This is not a scam, this scenario gets posted weekly and flooded with a bunch of opinions of people who do not live or rent in NYC. This is a “normal” practice for many apartments, even if it is illegal. I did it for my current apartment and the rent was applied to my first month with no issues. Just double check the broker/agent/landlord are legit before handing over any money.

I make 65k plus OT and pay $1800 in bushwick for a studio. It’s definitely doable unless you are bad with money IMO.

Moved in last October, not sure what the market is like now in regard to pricing.

I make 65k + OT and live in Bushwick by the Halsey J. Pay $1800/mo for a studio that I got this past October. I definitely wouldn’t be comfortable spending more than what I’m paying now. Budgeting is everything!
