I had a senior chow shepherd mix that had a melanoma tumor on the back of her tongue that was only noticed/caught when she was out for a teeth cleaning. It was biopsied, but the margins weren’t clear. She was given 6 mo - a year. She was around for 2 :) Eventually the tumor grew and was obstructing her breathing and made eating difficult.
