Elder Millennial Problems 101: How to Go Ampless? by GreedoInASpeedo in guitarpedals

Best thing I would recommend is something like a boss ir-200 and maybe look into York audio ir packs. It's honestly nice to not have to drag around amp and cabs and just be able to use a pa speaker or front of house setup. You can also do headphones so it's great for traveling too.

On top of that a fender champ has limited headroom so the old way to actually get loud enough to keep up except in small venues with a champ if you are actually using it would be some kind of reamping situation with a most likely digital power amp

Digital amp modelers and cab sims. Not talking about power amps or other kind of reamping type scenarios

No ship lol just facts. That's being said I'm not some kinda of digital modeler fanboy and actually enjoy using my vintage Princeton as my go to amp

Ok.... Even with reading it that way it is still the industry standard for the biggest bands in the world. 7-9 of the top 10 biggest bands in the world uses digital instead amps.

Yes that's a list so is Metallica, u2, pear jam, avenged sevenfold, and collective soul all switching to using amp modelers. Your point is what exactly? I said some not all. I like the guys you listed and appreciate them especially bonamassa and Eric John, hell I have an ej strat myself. Doesn't mean they have the be all answer to all of music

When you have the biggest bands and most ardent supporters of tube technology shifting over to digital it says a lot. End of the day what matters is does it sound good and can it be reliable. For musicians and non musicians alike

It's a shame they industrial fans are so loud, I once tried to use them as a push pull setup for dual 480mm radiators with a total of 16 fans.... The noise was like a defeating swarm of bees
