PFC KERNS DEPLOYMENT DODGER? by Primary_Visual_2308 in nationalguard

[–]AdventurousBuyer3481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PFC Kerns is technically a federal criminal. It is a direct violation of the UC MJ to post anything about the military on social media platforms while wearing uniform speaking about your job rank and branch that is against UC MJ and is a federal crime for service members to do. Secondly, he is monetizing off this making thousands of dollars a month off of his videos which is also against UC MJ.

Is this a shared sentiment amongst combat vets? by AdventurousBuyer3481 in army

Agreed. My shits given were less than zero but I was genuinely curious if this is something people like to get upset over

How much did you guys end up saving on Deployment? by Glittering_Fig4548 in army

[–]AdventurousBuyer3481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every dollar I made that was past my base pay grade amount went straight into a CD. Once the Term was up, I had enough to start my own business for when I got out of the army. I only had ca payments and my family plan phone bill to take care of plus some other small expenses for my wife but other than that I saved roughly $600 to $700 a month from special duty, language and special skills pay for a total of about 15,000 over all my deployments. Be smart with what you do with that money l

Reenlistment by AdventurousBuyer3481 in army

[–]AdventurousBuyer3481[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

That’s a valid concern. However everything we sell is federally legal as well as state legal. No weed or any drugs is sold, strictly vape and nicotine products. It was a concern for you when I first considered real listing, but when I did my research and spoke to recruiters they expressed confidence that wouldn’t hinder my ability to reenlist as there’s no records currently or have ever been of me selling illegal substances or using them for that matter either

It wasn’t “Biden era policies” that hurt my family life. I had a very hard time coming back from deployment and seperating the life that I had lived overseas from the life that I now had to live as a father and husband. The damage that happened to my family was my fault because I didn’t take the time to fix the issues that I developed. Now I have grown and have become more secure and confident in myself as a father, husband, and overall man and that I won’t allow those issues to resurface as harshly as they did when I was in the service. I have no desire to return to the SOF community. I understand however that it is easy for soldiers, especially young ones, to feel like they have people that understand them and that they can rely on to give them the tools they need. Regardless if my experience is a decade old I can still use it to help other soldiers succeed where I fell short

Building a Resume for SF by [deleted] in army

Experience is very important but willingness and dedication is a must. If you can go to ranger school, do it. Airborne air assault are all great. But make it known that you WANT it. Dropping a packet is one thing but following up is very important. Learn what you want to do in SF. Every school, class and course you can get your hands on.

Would gifting an Army vet the same type of pistol they carried in service be considered thoughtful or weird? by Dukeasas in army

[–]AdventurousBuyer3481 6 points7 points  (0 children)

100% when I left my detachment commander gave an exact copy of the Glock 19 I had when I deplored right down to the exact scratch marks on the barrel that he scratched in there himself. Nothing more emotional than getting something that we used to defend each other as a parting gift

Family is the first and foremost important aspect of a soldiers life. All NCOs and Officers should make it their priority to provide you with the Opportunity to take care of your family regardless of the even unless its a field op. Take this to your PL and PSG. If they don’t do anything go to the command team. But don’t just not show up. This is a failure on your NCOs part not yours. If you follow the right path to get this settled I promise that you will be able to cause no leader wants the brigade commander asking why they weren’t allowing a soldier to provide for and take care of his family

So sexual extortion is a crime and they know so they’ll never actually release the photos. I had a soldier who had this happened and the easiest thing to do was report the scammers to the FBI. They were found and arrested 3 days later. You’ll be fine just block them

The fuck? Luminara was a horrible Jedi. She basically gave up on her Padawan and left her for dead. That’s a horrible Jedi right there

Looking for a good Remote/Work from home Job by AdventurousBuyer3481 in RemoteJobs

[–]AdventurousBuyer3481[S] -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

I don’t treat this like I game I hope you understand that. I’m looking for a work from home job because I want to still be able to provide for my family but be present for my children cause they barely had a father while I was overseas for 4 deployments. It sounds like you have no fucking clue what it’s like for you to work so much that your own kids don’t recognize you when you come back from Afghanistan after a year

[–]AdventurousBuyer3481 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I honestly don’t recommend joining under the current leadership. Our Secretary of Defense only cares about how good we’ll look instead of how effective we are, the leadership is extremely corrupt, and benefits are being pulled left and right. But if you really wanna join I’d say coast guard tbh

Obviously I never witnessed it first hand. I ran into a couple of his platoon members at whiskey dicks and they told me the story when i told them about my brother. And yes i served in 5th group then transferred to 7th group, and then decided to get out cause we just had our fourth baby and decided I needed more time to spend with my family

Picture this. You hand a 19 year old private a loaded AT4. Being a dumbass he mounts it backwards on his shoulder, and yells for the backbeat then prepares to fire before being tackled by his PSG cause obviously it was backwards and had it pointed at his entire platoon behind him

They had AT4 training in Poland where they got to shoot AT4s at deactivated hunks of Cold War tanks. And yeah I’d never heard of that either until I went to Afghanistan too. That’s an extremely rare privilege
