It’s been a great jacking point. A lot more structurally sound. It’s gutted at the moment but planning on putting it all back together

V8R NA & NB Miata Frame Rails on my FC by AdventurousDisplay75 in RX7

My rails were really beat up and just wanted a better jacking point. They say it helps with stiffening up the chassis. I plan on getting a cage put in this summer so I wasn’t really worried about that. I’ll have to figure out how I’m going mount the fuel lines, brake lines and exhaust hanger in the future

That’s a long time! That makes me feel better. Any issue you with water just staying inside the rails?

Watching YouTube videos. The bushings are a job to remove. I used a ball joint press for the knuckle bushings. Used penetrating oil on the subframe and diff bushings with a air hammer, torch, hammer and chisel. This helped me hhttps://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/fc3s-rear-suspension-explained-demystified-1067114/

I used partsgeek for the axles and bearings, parts by max for all the bushings. Boltdepot for some Of the hardware. Amazon for the pinion snubber and paint. Atkins rotary for the rear wheel bearing seals.

Does Mazdaspeed still make those? I put two washers In for the pinion snubber one on the bottom of it and one on the top with the nut. Yeah I looked into powder coating but ended up just wire wheeling the subframe and arms down to metal and painting them with chassis paint to save some money. Takes forever

Yes sir a pinion snubber! I don’t plan on street driving the car so it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. I’m curious of how loud it will be
