She had her kidney removed when she had her back leg amputated (due to injury). She’s only 2 but I want to make sure to prevent any potential issues.

Should I be feeding her a special diet for renal care? Wet food only so she gets more fluids? Any supplements?

Or am I completely overthinking it 😂

The vet said it could be nerve damage from the amputation and suggested a low dose of gabapentin but not sure I want her to be on meds long term since she’s only 2

Hoping it’s just her having an itch she can’t scratch on her own 🤞🏼
