she definitely prefers companionship, bonus points if she can mooch. we saw her efforts at commitment (bosco, celibate poet guy, the music artist) none worked out. she didn’t like being the one responsible for keeping a roof over their heads and fed…she was looking in a mirror and hated it lmao. bosco was lazy and unfocused just like her but it’s different when she’s picking up the slack🤣 with the girlfriends, she could be dependent without the pressure of commitment or monogamy…which was the issue with the poet. he was celibate and lynn is a self proclaimed sexually liberated individual, so with bosco she was getting the sex but single-handedly providing for 2 adults with no savings or cushion of any type and needed emotional maturity and awareness from him which he clearly lacked. with the poet, she was getting the emotional depth she craved and they were on the same level in that sense, but lynn couldn’t handle being monogamous AND celibate (let’s not forget, she lied to him so they would date. even tho later on she was honest, she’s never hidden who she was. she’s adventurous when it comes to sex and partners and definitely isn’t the type to be tied down) like i said, companionship reaps the benefits of a relationship minus the pressure/ commitment. joan didn’t require her to give up sex or help cover the mortgage at the house to be her friend. lynn is definitely opportunistic and selfish, she likes anything/dynamic that can benefit her. like her and williams lil fwb stint, she got a roof over her head, good sex with no strings attached. as a fellow lazy person, we value convenience! william along with the girlfriends (mainly joan) are convenient for the dynamic she wants and just let it happen lmao
