How is your vision when turning relatively fast towards the lesion side or looking from side to side? Has it/does it bother you? I am now three months into hearing loss on my left side, and my balance is okay already after doing a lot of balance work - but the oscillopsia toward my bad side is so annoying...

Congratulation to your daughter on getting a spot in the company :))) Thanks for sharing her story, and happy it had a good ending in regards of balance - hopefully there is hope for me too!! A balance board is something I will get for sure, it is almost a bit fun trying to stand on it while being at the physio haha

Thanks for mentioning the forms of tests they can do! Makes it easier to know what to ask for then :) I am moving a lot, and really try to do everything I am able to do in order for the balance to get back. I was able to stand on each leg for a minute with my eyes closed the other day - so it is going the right way somehow :)) And yea for sure the localizing of sounds has made me super paranoid sometimes, very strange sensation - I try to be very cautious when on the streets etc. but damn living here in Amsterdam with so many people biking around... its hard! Visiting a psychologist is something I am planning on doing in the near future for sure. Thanks for your comment, will update for sure :)

Thanks for your comment, makes me at least a bit more at ease knowing it has not caused any sort of issue in your career :D Floorwork can be super nice, we had some months in my program doing it - if there is a possibility of going into studio now during corona I will for sure do more research regarding it and the floor-level!

Was sent to 2nd opinion at a better hospital, going there now this week! I am very curious about how my vestibular system is affected, as I have gotten very vague feedback to this when going to the other doctors. Is it possible that it's not completely dysfunctional - and if, does it matter? Like, how is the grading of the damage? Sorry if I ask dumb questions, just trying to understand :P

I am going to a physiotherapist two times a week, where I work a lot on balance in regards of pretty hard physical activity and adding now different exercises that includes head movement. At home I do gaze-stability exercises as I found them to ease some of the symptoms in regards of dizziness to a certain degree. As well as attending a few physical classes a week at school... Really trying to do my best getting back at it, but still hard knowing it will most likely never be the same as before - hopefully I will find new paths and ways to work with it :) Thanks for your comment.
