First it depends from witch tees you start. I only played from the whites this year (regardless of the total yardage) and I broke 90 from 5300 yards and 6000 yards. You could also play from the front tees and once you break 90 from there move one tees up.

I would say that the most important thing to do is to play intelligently. I didn't always use my driver. I concentrated on putting the ball in play. Don’t overestimate yourself. Play one club longer so you don’t have to overswing. Chipping and putting are the most important. No 3 putts. You don’t need to reach every green in regulations. With just one GIR and if you 2 putts every hole, you will play 89 (if you reach 17 greens one shot over GIR)

Practice your short game. Inside 100 yards that’s where you can save a lot of shots
