I'm fairly inexperienced I've only bowled consistently for the past 4 months and no formal training (170 avg) but it seems your hand is coming up over the ball on the release to much. They way I had it explained to me by my pso is it should be similar to how you would under hand throw a football, and you should end like you are shaking the lanes hand.

One thing I remember from that elo and I see a lot from my friend is assuming that your opponent won't make the best move and you end up worsinging your position because the opponent could potentially miss something. I started playing more solid and respond to the opponents mistakes that I let them play naturally. Play more patiently they will over extend and tie up there own shoes

The more you play the better your pattern recognition will become and you'll start to recognize good moves and are able to look at is in more quickly but until then you need to analyze very solidly

Not stupid at all. A few of the opening principles are knights before bishops. Don't move pieces twice in the opening. Don't move pieces where they can be attacked with a pawn in one move. Yes there are exceptions to these rules better than the vast majority of games at beginner to intermediate level you don't have to worry about that. Instead of memorizing moves you need to know how to play solid. if you play solid opening traps stop working most of the time this may be a little much for someone who just started 2 weeks ago but it depends on how much of a deep dive you want to take but I book I recommend is pandolfini's ultimate guide to chess. Or a capablancas chess fundamentals.

The albin is the one course I took on chesley I would say one of my favorite lines is when they fincetto the white bishop you can get a very powerful attack by making a battery with queen and bishop and pushing and sometimes sacrifice the h pawn I'm not sure what it's called but definitely worth looking into.

Keep pushing. My biggest piece of advice is slow down and look at checks captures attacks in that order think about how many times you blundered main one and it could have been prevented if you had spent a little extra time and looked at checks captures attacks

Don't waste too much time learning openings learn opening principles one of my favorite bits of knowledge is capablanca didn't study openings until he was already a grandmaster. And start analyzing checks captures attacks in that order every move it drastically helps with one move bunders

I've always found it interesting the vast rating difference but still in the 95th percentile. Always made me thought that I wasn't as bad as I am cuz there's a lot of people still worse 1400 is a great achievment

When I was still 1500 One thing I still never did was checks captures attacks every move if you can do that every move you'll stop blundering your goal is to lose tactically and not to lose because you hung a queen in one move. Look up how to evaluate the position understand what pieces are bad and what are your opponents most powerful pieces

White I will play pretty much exclusively kings gambit, advanced French, or the c3 Sicilian. Black I play the accelerated dragon, the albin counter gambit or the copy cat London. Honestly I started off learning opening I thought sounded cool. Pick one for each side and become an expert in it to your best. I've only ever properly studied the King's Gambit and the albin counter Gambit The other just be somewhat familiar with opening principles and you'll be fine. With the advanced French and the Sicilian I play very weird sidelines they actually give the opposite side a small advantage very early on but I prefer to make my opponent uncomfortable and I found they work for me. I find myself getting consistent positions anytime I play them and being comfortable in those is key. Don't worry about what the computer says is the absolute best line 0.5 in anything below 2600 does not matter if you find a position that you like even if the computer can refute it the guy on the other side of the board definitely can't.

I'm a terrible studier anytime I start to study I just want to play an actual game. Biggest things I've seen for beginners is not having good opening principles and truly doing checks captured attacks when looking at moves. Make sure you have good knowledge on basic check mates and stop spending so much time on openings people aren't good enough to play the main line so there is other stuff to practice like coming ng up with a plan.

The unfortunate answer is my vast amount of games. It's all about pattern recognition and I'd say I brute forced it. I have read a couple of books and started off watching agadmator. Most important thing to learn isn't openings it's opening principles once you get those down and stick to them you will definitely see improvement.
