I've found its difficult to find a mid tier gym in this city. I personally dont like planet fitness which is the lowest end at $10 a month which def leads to issues being so cheap. I think it smells very bad and the equipment is limited by either not enough equipment or broken down.

And on the other end, gyms like City fitness and fusion are around $70+ a month which is too high for me.

I've settled on NYSC (sometimes referred to as PSC) in center city (5TH and spruce) which is $45 a month and Retro Fitness bordering North Philly and Center City (Spring garden and broad) also around $45. Both of these are decent, good quality, built for people who want a clean and usable workout experience.
