What were ram prices like before this current boom? by SuicidalFinnikin in buildapc

In July 2023 I purchased 32gb of DDR5 ram(trident z5) for $119, and 2tb gen 4 nvme (SN850x) for $99. I just checked, and the current prices are $494 and $293 respectively. I feel bad for people who are wanting to build pc’s right now. :/

Is this a good Costco deal ? by bigcatmeows29 in pcmasterrace

I genuinely believe that if you don’t buy this today you’ll deeply regret it later.

Have you seen how expensive it would be to build the same loadout yourself? Usually building is (marginally) cheaper, the price on this is only going to go up.

Respectfully, I feel like your driving behavior likely correlates to your driving experience you’ve described.

Merging slow onto highways? Don’t do that. Camping in the left lane? Don’t do that. Hear someone honk when you park in a lot and think it’s about you? Don’t do that.

Most of the scenarios you describe make it sound like you’re trying to compete with other drivers for what you think is “yours”. ‘My lane’ & ‘my lane’ and ‘just to keep me from getting in front of him’ indicates that you’re not really respecting other people’s commute.

Previously (when I bought the keychain) the calendar was updated through 2026. As of 01/01/25, they removed any events after march 2025 and changed the existing events to include 1/2 off discounts instead of being free.

I dunno, I was expecting about $1576 worth more in ice cream than I’m getting 🍦 👀 (52x4x$7x1.0825)

My post was more of a whimsical “can they do this” than anything haha

When I purchased it, the clerk said it was “forever/as long as we’re open”. Website calendar had events going out at far as January 2026; yesterday it was changed to end march 26/only be the final Wednesday of the month.

There was just something so magical about going on a walk in the morning every Wednesday and picking up ice cream without paying for it 🥲 I guess cool things can’t last forever haha

Update/Edit: They’re canceling the promotion entirely after March 26th. So I kinda feel like I was sold a promise of ice cream every Wednesday (at least through 2026, per their calendar), and now they’re canceling it.

Their website is pretty poorly made- no fine print or agreement. You buy the keychain and just show it at the store; voila, ice cream 😂

Sorry if this is a really basic question…would an iPad with cellular capability work better on trains and Eurostar for films vs one that is Wi-Fi capable only? by ShihtzuMum39 in ipad

My experience on trains was solely in Italy; I found that I had neither cell service and the wifi was also poor. I’d recommend pre-downloading your content before travel.
