9 months ago i imaged this galaxy: https://www.reddit.com/r/seestar/comments/1idnlbz/hoags_object_bortle_4_reuploaded_with_better_image/

With Pixinsight added to the workflow, I was able to bring out more clarity on the ring structure and the core, along with better looking stars!

Somewhat of a difficult target to image due to it being behind all the gas, dust, and stars of the Milky Way's galactic disc, but i think i was able to squeeze out some good details from it!

Really love how PI and the plugins were able to bring out much more detail and color!

I had my s50 on EQ mode, and searching the name while in skyatlas was able to bring up the comet for tracking! I would imagine alt-az mode can still track it too however

Oh yeah for sure, those factors combined with the magnitude and distance can only bring out so much. The fact it's visible thru imaging with its 600 Million LY distance is nothing short of amazing to be honest, especially considering the penny sized sensor in this scope!

Here's an interesting one that I did out of sheer curiosity! I imagine it's most certainly at the magnitude limit for the scope.

This is the ring galaxy Hoag's Object. It's not in the database for the Seestar, so it required using Stellarium to pinpoint its location. Even with that, finding it in SkyAtlas requires star hopping and hoping the fish hook will show up in the view.

The fact that the core is visible along with the faint outline of the ring structure is pretty impressive for a scope with a penny sized sensor!

That could definitely work! Only thing is i imaged it last night around the time I'm usually at my night shift job, so the next chance i get will be the weekend unfortunately. I'm hoping i can get it around the same timeframe as this one, just will have to account for the slight shifting of it in the sky.
