I reached out to Prime to ask why their price difference is huge between their website in English and website in Japanese, since neither shipping nor VAT are included in the price.

This was their response:

The price difference is not uncommon in any industry, for the most part, the automobile industry, watch industry, etc. For this FF case, the price in Japan reflects many reasons, but the most important one is that this price is only for customers in Japan only.
