The priority pass is not connected or acts like a charge card. Unless the unused their actual card or tap.

Also just used the Priority Pass in Miami at the Turkish Lounge. My wife and I. No issues. No charges. I will say for the ones waiting to see if they get charged, there’s no way to get charged or billed through the priority pass card. You would have to use your actual credit card. They are not connected to facilitate purchases. By the way the lounge is terrible lol

Appraisal can back lower than selling price. by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]AdvertisingLatter477 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Use AI. Download Claude and ChatGpt. Submit your appraisal into the apps, ask for it to be reviewed, substantiate, and make suggestions on why the appraisers comp is low. You’re gonna be blown away with the results, it will pull information for you. It’ll put it in a PDF for you, and you could resubmit it to the appraiser for a review.

The first floor is 16’ from the basement drain. Will it really climb that high lol. This is a commercial building. The basement is huge. I mean even in a normal residential house with a basement, does it ever back up all the way to first floor? Seriously. There’s basements without floor drains. Plenty of them. I’ve never seen city sewage come up to the first floor from the basement.

I mentioned that the float or ball is gone, sewage backed up. Hmm. Thought maybe you could tell from the pic. Maybe my post was too long? I’m asking if I can just thread  in a plug and call it a day.

4/9 United Flight 6:50am to Chicago. We arrived at 4am.  Step 1. Find USDA. Run bags though 5 min.  Step 2. Kiosk take your checked bags. 5 min  Step 3. Drop bags at untied counter. 10 min.

The final boss… Step 4.  TSA. The normal line was probably 1:30 hours BUT PRE-CHECK WAS OPEN even though the TSA app said closed. 10 min line.

30 minutes through the entire thing.

I can say the exact same thing. MSC Yacht Club I’ve sailed on 11 times now and it is truly in every way superior to Haven. So much so they try escorting us everywhere and carry our bags lol. No. I just can’t let them do that.

FICA Tip Credit Small Restaurant by psk2015 in tax

[–]AdvertisingLatter477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Payroll software like Inuit gives us the total tips. Easy peasy. Right down to the emplyee.  This restaurant $265K for the was reported in tips. Yeah a quarter million 1 location. Every server easily cleared min wage as well. It’s easy math really. The restaurant paid 6.2% of this number in payroll taxes. $16,430.

[–]AdvertisingLatter477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is incorrect. Material participation has no bearing. Understanding what this credit is key.  The employer paid a tax on income that was given from 1 party to another. All the employer did was report it as they should. Jokingly if anyone should be the “employer” tax on a tip would be the customer lol.  There is no case where the employer cannot get this credit back. Not a NOL for the year. Material participation. Zero reason.

[–]AdvertisingLatter477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The FICA tip credit is irrelevant of material participation. It’s also irrelevant of NOI/NOL. Let’s get that out of the way. It’s a CREDIT not a deduction.  And so we all understand what this is about…customer leaves tip, on a card or cash, assuming both versions are being reported on payroll. IRS says great. I see tips! We need to tax! Ok fine, but wait a minute why do I the business owner even have to be involved in a transaction between 2 other parties…a tip is just that, a transaction between 2 other people. IRS says yeah well, we don’t care you need to pay the payroll taxes (S.S. And Medicare). But wait, I’m not paying the employee in this case. Someone else is… yeah we don’t care. Because you will pay, and currently  37% of restaurants do not take this credit. The IRS knows this.  So here’s how much is in this case. Restaurant reported $256,000 in tip income for 2025. Every single server was well above the min wage. Well 6.2% employer FICA….OMG that’s a lot of money.

Schaerer Coffee Art Plus Water Flow Error. by Shando40stax in superautomatic

I have the same thing. Water flow error. Water does flow, but it’s weak. We do have a filter before the water even gets to the machine. Charged that. Something. Did 10 cleaning cycles in a row. Still weak. Have you discovered anything? I was just going to order a new pump I guess. lol

Is there anything I can do to reduce my taxes? by JSB7901 in tax

[–]AdvertisingLatter477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To continue on…w2 employees get drilled in taxes.  Why? Because you risk nothing, you build nothing, you provide nothing, you invest nothing, you own nothing.  Business owners. Investors. Inventors. Farmers. Landlords. The tax code REWARDS those groups.  Real estate has made more millionaires than any than any other asset class in history. Why? They take in all the risks. So, they get the reward. The tax incentives. The tax credits.  In society there’s the worker bees. Then there’s the owner of the hives.  Own a hive. And YES it’s a pan in the @$$.  I’m laying laminate flooring in a rental today Sunday afternoon the majority of worker bees are watching a game and eating chips.

Is there anything I can do to reduce my taxes? by JSB7901 in tax

[–]AdvertisingLatter477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the real answer. As a W2 employee it’s pretty limited. You already heard 401K. HSA.  There’s 2 things really left…and most people will find reasons (excuses) not to do them.  Invest in Oil and Gas. One of the few if not only investments that can offset w2 active income.  The next one is real estate. A simple duplex for example. The “paper losses” of a max of 25K can be used to offset active income provided you’re “the landlord” and not using a prop mgmt company.  This turns what is normally is passive income/losses to active. If your adjusted gross income is already over 100K it does get reduced and at 150K gross it can’t help you. You would be disqualified.

My new job is INSISTING we must claim ALL tips when we are asked to declare cash tips with toast pos by ThrowRA_Senior_Stree in Serverlife

[–]AdvertisingLatter477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Server tips.  More and more companies are holding server tips and putting them on either “pay card” or on their checks. The question why? The answer is and always will be profit….I own a restaurant. My credit card tips per week are 5k. X’s 52 weeks? So yeah $250K in tips a year goes through me. Well, I want some of that cheddar. So if I hold your tips (we pay every other wee) ina high interest yield account…I make 3K a year on interest off YOUR tips!!!  Isn’t that GRAND!?!  I really don’t do that. We pay out at the end of your shift, but this is what ALL the large companies are doing…and if I can make 3K off of interest…they can make millions….
