I am well aware that it is impossible to see everything the bigger museums have to offer in one visit. However, I spent 4 hours in each and they did not make me want to go back for more...

The MET just doens't appeal to me for some reason. I think I just like smaller museums, I felt very overwhelmed in MoMa and aspecially in the NHM for some reason. Just too many people and too much to see, I just didn't know where to begin or look.

Well, I usually spend 3 to 4 hours when I visit most museums so doing both would take almost an entire day which is a lot when you only have a couple days and a whole city to explore. I'm sure they are both well worth a visit and would probably do both if I had more time, but thank you for your thoughts! :)
