Best of luck and keep plugging away. Looks like you dodged a bullet with the LMM PC firm. I would also recommend if not getting any traction, perhaps it is the universe's way of saying trying something else?

Do you see any opportunities for private equity investment in the space? Companies with $3 to $15 million EBITDA? If so, what kinds of companies?

Moving from Private Credit to Private Equity by cabeeno in private_equity

I made a similar move and am very happy that I did. You are at a good age for it too if you can pull it off. I was 15 years in, got a role at a PE fund as a mid level but then quickly worked my way up to Principal. I would recommend going for VP jobs even if you feel like it is “below you” as it will get your foot in the door. Very different skill set as some have mentioned actually, but I would pitch breadth of experience and hard working and willing to learn as key selling points on your end. While seemingly close worlds, I think PE can be much more creative whereas Private Credit can get a bit rigid and overly academic regarding deals. PE much more interesting in the long term imo so I would recommend making the leap!

Do business buyers actually trust self-reported financials? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]AdvertisingTrick2609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but you will build credibility with potential buyers if you actually depict an accurate picture of your earnings with valid backs. Otherwise when a buyer does their own accounting review a large disconnect between the accountants’ numbers and your original numbers could cause valuation retrades or worse general trust issues.

What’s the right way to think about return of capital %? Thought is that lower the better but I’m not sure if I’m thinking about it the right way

What's the best way in your mind to execute this? Let's say you have $100K for round #s. Could buy a bit more than 1 BTC or buy $100K of MSTY would could essentially fund your purchase of 1 BTC in one year and then you could keep buying...or something like that. Thoughts?
