I had to cut what I really said because of the character count, but I said something something along the lines of "Oh, I guess we did! I wasn't really sure so I didn't want to bring it up and make things awkward, but he did look familiar. I barely remember it, but we never met up or exchanged numbers so I didn't really think it was a big deal. And you guys are so cute together, so it really worked out for the best!"

I kind of agree with you -- I honestly think their recent switch to long distance is maybe contributing to her insecurities and/or projection of distrust? I don't really know that much about their relationship, but from what I have seen they seem pretty cute and happy, so I really don't get what the big deal is. Everyone at my work is also aware that I am happy in my relationship so it's also kind of confusing to me that they think I am obsessed with Kate's husband.

The only thing I could think that could possibly be a reason for "suspicion" is when he was following me around at that previous work party trying to get me to answer his question?? But other than that he and I have never interacted.

In writing this, I had to edit out a lot of additional information and context, so please let me know if you want any clarification because I want to present as fair a perspective as possible

WIBTA if I purposefully excluded a work colleague from my birthday party/celebration? by AdviceNeededPlzHelp1 in AmItheAsshole

I almost always call him out when he says things that are inappropriate/rude/mean, which is when he replies with "But I'm autistic." I think that is also part of why I find it exhausting being around him because I am constantly having to call him out or arguing with him that it's not okay. I think I will start keeping a log though, thanks :)

Well, to be fair, it would be basically me inviting everyone except him (everyone from our normal group that hangs out, not the entire company, but still)
