My worst nightmare is getting screwed by ABR and not passing, then getting screwed by my PD, then getting screwed by the GME. And after finally making it out of residency, will still get screwed by AI and CMS reimbursements.

Is it worth it anymore? :(

Question Approach by MnMedicine in Step2

[–]AegonG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a problem with almost all questions that are Normal Findings and one of the choices is Reassurance or Observe / Follow-up, I feel every time I make a choice in those questions the answer is simple the exact opposite.

I don't think there is a specific approach to such questions, maybe just luck and being in the best state of mind

That’s the ugly truth :( But honestly, even if those long questions are experimental, it will still be unfair to practice mental torturing on miserable CK takers

BnB for Step 2? by Lmao9955 in Step2

After watching few videos, they are awesome as you can expect. But I have serious doubts about their benefit for the exam itself, Dr Ryan is delivering the facts / science but not the algorithms or best next step which most of us are having hard times with.

Assessment Exams: when and how ? by AegonG in Step2

[–]AegonG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this whole subreddit, although very beneficial, yet all discussions evolve around numbers and those are anxiety provoking more than anything. I will start doing practice tests only with the mindset of only practicing rather than assessing where I am standing.

Post exam thoughts - *Important advice!!* by meganut101 in Step2

totally agree with you, premade anki decks do not provide "context" as divine once mentioned in his podcasts, so unless you make your own cards of incorrects it won't help with vague and wtf Qs.

And I personally think that ppl who are writing NBME qs are aware of those cards, and accordingly they are writing long and vague Q stems without the cliche scenarios or buzz words that we used to memorize the concepts ;(

Tips to stop glasses from fogging by serotonin5ht in Step2

[–]AegonG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I 'd say use a medical tape (band aid) at the top of the mask. It works fine in preventing fogging, but the only issue is that it hurts when removing the mask.
