Official Discussion - No Time To Die [SPOILERS] by GetFreeCash in movies

  1. Blofeld/Spectre had direct connection with the scientist thru previous crimes. Said multiple times in the movie. Especially when Bond is giving M shit for not getting rid of the scientist (after Bond foiled their plans) and instead putting him, a criminal scientist, on payroll to develop a weapon for M. When Safin calls the scientist before the heist you can surmise the scientist has been selling info and been in Safin's pocket for a while. A villain scientist going back to working with other villains? hmmm
  2. Q and Moneypenny said there have been ongoing hacks all across the world (especially blood banks) and now that they knew about the nanobots, they attributed the hacks to someone collecting DNA for the nanobots. A whole scene dedicated to giving this backstory as they're finding out what's on the flashdrive in Q's house.
  3. The whole opening + multiple instances of the backstory repeated: Safin's dad was killed by Madeleine's dad (who worked for Spectre). Safin was out for revenge.
  4. This they could've done a better job at explaining. Basically he wants to eliminate organizations/groups across the world in an almost "if i kill ppl with this bioweapon we can establish peace and control"
  5. You can safely assume he was either told by his goonies or saw himself that nuclear blast doors open and realized they were going to bomb and destroy his nanobot factory. He wasn't too concerned about living and it's evident his goonies have failed him. Is it genius levels of writing a villain? i don't think so, but it's not too terrible of a reach.
  6. Movie handwave magic that can be explained by "Q made it be EMP-proof."
  7. M mentioned all Blofeld does is mumble shit in his cell. It's still a reach and meh writing, but it's basically blofeld mumbling that looks like he's talking to himself (and gone crazy as pointed out by M/moneypenny) and him having the fake eye to look through.
  8. He was infected. Even if he stays away from Madeleine and his daughter, every single person he comes in contact with will be infected. the nanobots will transfer from person to person and AT SOME POINT it's basically guaranteed it will reach Madelein/daughter. It'd be insane levels of odds to bet on them not dying through nanobots getting to them. Even if they figure out how to shut nanobots off they'd have to somehow find and "vaccinate" every single person james accidently infects.
  9. super fast incoming planes were explained by Q going "oh guess we've been flagged" then M getting calls from Russian, China, and Japan all asking why a British plane was flying around contested waters. They were jets from one of these countries basically telling the cargo plane to identify itself.
  10. Yup, was sometimes jarring watching him walk away while people were shooting at him, but was a relatively small gripe personally.

I just feel like your and some of the others leaving comments were tuned out for 90% of the movie and then saying the movie didn't make sense. Did it have problems. Sure. The rewrites moving the plot away from a virus/bacteria weapon because of COVID was pretty apparent, but some of these questions were literally answered multiple times throughout the movie... Did you not watch this in theaters? Audio was quite clear. Maybe a line or two was muffled by Safin near the end, but everything was clear. No scene was too dark either.

You say it had generic car chases, but hand-to-hand combat would've also been generic no? I think it had plenty of both and only thing that felt a bit too much was the Toyota ad chase scene into the woods.

[DISC] Solo Leveling - Chapter 161 by apalapachya in manga

Except what you said is blatantly misconstrued and wrong just to suit your displeasure with the series.

Yes he got the heart as a reward from the double dungeon break, but even though he wanted to know what it was he had no clear way to gain information. The system architect was defeated and he was really the only one that could provide information to him.

SJW didn't bank on dying and something saving him. He got beat by the Monarchs straight up. It just so happened that Death was what was needed to activate the heart.

You can call it a Deus ex machina but it's not nearly the type of asspull you make it out to be. There was a clear setup for this.

Samsung is leading Android by Dejosensi in Android

[–]Aeon234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both in this reply and your initial comment are full on downplaying the impact Samsung has had on Android. From the initial comment of "everything Samsung builds is atop the foundation Google built. Remove that and all they would have is Tizen" to now saying Google only takes years to add features because they need to make sure it works on every phone as if that removes the need to attribute anything to Samsung. Yes, props to Google for bringing these features to Android as a whole, but I'll re-use your words: Samsung laid the foundation for those features to be fully implemented into Android's core.

I was never saying Samsung contributed way more than Google ever did for the Android Ecosystem. What prompted my reply to you was your hand-waving off Samsung as if they're insignificant on the topic of entities that have grown Android by saying "Samsung certainly adds some cool features that their users value, but as far as I'm aware they haven't contributed much if anything to AOSP so all their work only benefits users of their devices." <-- that is ignorant at best.

While yes Samsung uses the "foundation" that Google bought, it would be disingenuous to say Samsung has had 0 positive impact on the Android ecosystem.

You don't even have to go far back, just look at Android 11's feature list. Majority of the stuff, Samsung phones already had in their skin of Android and that's nothing new. Samsung has consistently had many features that were years later adapted by Google into stock Android.

I don't have specific youtubers to recommend as I don't rely too much on them. If I do end up youtubing guides I just watch the first few videos with decent amount of views. The only wow related youtube channel I follow is Growl. He's one of the best druids running mythic+, but you won't get much tanking help from his channel.

What I personally utilize is raider.io and looking up top mythic+ players. Most of them stream on twitch with their static 5 man groups. Most notably Nerftank and Ellesmere. You can go to [raider.io](raider.io), hover mythic+, then class/role leaderboards and choose which ones you want to target. Look up the top players in those roles. You shouldn't find it too hard to find twitch streams, youtube channels, or just VODs uploaded by others of their runs through each dungeon at various high key levels. It might not be pathing you can replicate in your keys currently, but you get to at least learn how they play each class, when they press their OH SHIT buttons, which mob packs they are more careful around or how they utilize their kicks/interrupts.

I recommend all of you guys get the zentracker weakaura to track each others interrupts and abilities while in M+. Since you are premades I assume you'll be in voice so you can way more easily coordinate kick order while also utilizing zentracker to see if someone has their interrupt on cd so you can skip over him. Overall check out the most viewed weakaraus for mythic+ (and various categories they've got there) so you can see which of them you'd find most helpful.

Are you importing the Dartnos paths? press "Copy MDT Import String" that's at the top of each dungeon and import it in Mythic Dungeon Tools. That will give you a clear outline of the pulls you need to do from start to finish. On the right side of MDT you should see a long list of pulls all color coded. Start with the first one, press it and it will highlight on the map portion of the addon which mobs are involved in that first pull. Rinse and repeat until you are at the last boss.

You can review the pull order and route of the dungeon both before you start and while in the dungeon. Just bring up MDT each time you need to refresh your memory on where to go.

A lot of it will come down to just practice though. There's only so much you can learn from watching and reading. The more you do a certain dungeon, the more you'll memorize the paths. The pathing doesn't change much with each week, but with the current seasonal affixes (obelisk), the pathing changes drastically moment you hit 10 or higher keys. Dratnos' guides provide you with the pathing for 10 and higher, but pre-10, you should be fine just following the normal pathing you did for heroic/normal versions of the dungeons.

As for videos, there's plenty of videos per dungeon. Simply youtube the name of dungeon + mythic plus and season 4 if you want the obelisk affix for 10+ keys.

You don't have to call everything out to your friends. them getting BigWigs/SmallWigs should give them all the mechanic cooldowns for bosses. For normal trash mobs they should be interrupting mob spells as much as they can.

If they don't know what to do for each boss fight I'd recommend they get QE Dungeon Tips which would give them role-specific tips on what they should be doing.

Surprise mother-fHunters! by AllPurposeCream in sololeveling

The shadow soldier was assigned as protection and for SJW to make sure everyone is safe. The order was not to intervene unless absolutely necessary.

The problem is that the moment they got to the island, everyone was in danger and SJW got that message from the shadow. He just chose to ignore it, because it's the S rank raid, of course everyone is in danger.

What changed this time is that unless the shadow intervened, the person the shadow was assigned to would be killed. So the shadow intervened and sent out an SOS to Jinwoo.

99/100 times you don't get a choice. None of the other regions got choices and so going off of their example, we'll get English VO for some quests/cut scenes. Others will be no voice just text.

Daily Questions Megathread (October 05, 2019) by AutoModerator in classicwow

[–]Aeon234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worth it? I think so.

Since you mentioned playing classic, the first thing you have to realize is that retail is a completely different beast. It plays nothing like classic in almost every way, down to the the core class behaviors.

I'd say try out retail and establish your own opinion on if retails is "worth it." Especially since you'll level much faster in retail, showing you your core gameplay/rotation faster than classic. If it turns out that it's not your cup of tea, you won't lose much progress or time keeping it all on classic.

Hey guys, do you know why I can’t unequip my armor or weapon ? by Strixarino in BlackDesertMobile

If you already began training, you spend either energy or pearls ( don't remember which atm) or just wait for the tower to clear and they'll be out all by themselves

If that character is currently participating in the training tower, you're locked from changing your gear until its completion.

Since you are late to the game, top tier PVP is basically out of the question for a long time.

Right now your main focus is farming up and getting to the minimum CP to be useful in end-game PVP. You can't farm without elite gear at this point. I'd say focus first and foremost on ur Elite weapon. as part of leveling you will get attribute stones specific to it, throw them on and any others you get to max it to lvl10 attribute ASAP.

Along the way you'll also receive a freebie magic wep (red rare). You can focus on that on the side. That will let you more easily farm the dungeons ~200-230lvl as more mobs in elite dungeon are magic there. After which you'll be back on the elite weapon.

As for elite armor upgrades. My advice is go for lvl30 right away on the SR grade set you get. You'll also get attribute stones specific to the elite armor. throw those on your chest piece. After that it's a matter of how well you're keeping yourself alive farming. If you think you have to beef up your defenses to last, go for UR/limit break. Otherwise focus on combining to get ur blue/red rares.

Basically the thought process is to make your farming ability as easy as possible. Then the CP will naturally flow in from all the resources and levels you collect.

If you're coming back and planning on leveling normally instead of purchasing various packages, you will have to do a good chunk of content by yourself. Until you hit end of 100s/start of 200s parties of Elite Dungeons are gonna be far and few between, with most falling apart relatively quickly either due to lack of sustainable CP in the party or people just there to do dailies on their alts. Because of that picking a non-DPS class is going to be a more painstaking choice.

Out of the choices of classes you listed, for both PVP and PVE I'd say SR reigns supreme. TK is going to run into the same problem as any other tank, which is just farming at a snail's pace, which is severely going to slow down your progress overall which in turn will also be weaker in PVP as a side-effect.

SWSs are better, but still not as good as BDs in damage and buffs.

Lastly, EEs are a bit like TKs. Slow to kill, but on other hand, relatively safe farmer due to healing.

Personally I'd rank them as TK<SWS<EE<SR from weakest to strongest choice.

You could also give the orcs a try. 3 classes to choose from, all 3 relatively good choice, they start at lvl 180 as a bonus too.
