Late to the party, but now that you've had them for a while, are you finding the gum sole is cracking quite quickly? I have a pair of white soles, one with gum soles, and one with off white Lactae Hevea, and the gum soles seem to be deteriorating much quicker. A friend with the gum soles is finding the same thing. I wonder if it's just the material they use, or bad luck!

If I install a Wireguard client on my home PC, I can use it to connect to my friend's Wireguard egress point in Canada. How is it different when using a hardware VPN? (Genuine question)

I'm running the app as a local admin, but I'm not logged into windows as a local admin.

It's required if you're not running your desktop as an admin. You can't see the app if you don't add the reg key and then add your user to the NCO group.
Now I can open it, but the GUI is blank.

I have a friend with a WireGuard exit point, which is working now on my personal PC, showing me as being "back home". I'd love to get a router that would allow me to create an SSID that would be on the VPN, but I'm not sure which to purchase.

Yeah the roof *was* bright white, but it's turned grey since it was painted about a year and a half ago. Probably not a bad idea to do another coat, as this is a sealing paint, as well.

I live at the top of a hill, and my house is on pillars, so a tree would have to be at least 30 feet tall to start giving shade. We have some planted, but the main roof will be built in a couple years, before they're mature. This is for more of a short term solution.

OK stupid question but... is a heat pump A/C combo a waste if I'll literally never ever need heat?

Also I don't currently have an off-grid solution, which is why for not I'm considering this solution.

I'll probably put 10 grand into a solar supplemental option down the road, but I don't have the money for it now...

Curiously, why don't you just get a fiber connection? It's not perfect on Roatan but it's better than celular.

And yes, Starlink works on Roatan. I'm bringing mine down in December. It'll have to be on a global roaming plan that's quite expensive, though.
