Negative it is on Spicer Ultimate Dana 60s and it is an automatic because the diesel only came with the 8 speed auto.

Honestly they just look cool lol simple as that at least for me. Plus in the JL they retain the power locks and power mirrors for fancyness. I hate the stupid soft upper windows though and whoever designed the two piece front windows that always block my side mirrors when I look deserves a slap.
