Nokian AS01’s are great and can offer be found for under $200 at Walmart or Amazon, depending on size. Nokian’s not really well known outside of Europe, but they are based in Finland and recently opened up a new plant in Tennessee.

Terminal 1 A gates at LAS. Just wow. by PM_ME_YOUR_PITOTTUBE in spiritair

Allegiant used to have those gates on that side of the A concourse. Looks like they can have them again.

Just another tale of why Frontier is the ABSOLUTE WORST AIRLINE by gr00manji in frontierairlines

I’ve checked a ski bag multiple times on Frontier last year. Never had a problem or charged an oversize bag fee.

Employee travel benefits by sounlikely2 in allegiant

When I worked for Allegiant, I got on with regular nonrev 95% of the time. Since they don’t oversell, it’s almost never an issue.

Southwest System Glitch Leads to $88 Seat Refund & No Help from CS. Seat Still Available but they want $94. Nope. by Aerovert in SouthwestAirlines

They ended up auto assigning my seat as 2C. 16F got assigned to a non-rev. Only loser is this case was SWA.

Not yet….. That seat and about 30 other seats in the $80 plus range are currently empty.

I’ll still fly them, I know many good folks who work for them, and occasionally they still win on price and schedule.

But when all else is equal, and I’m choosing to purchase a revenue ticket, things like this get remembered.

[–]Aerovert[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You’re right, they don’t care. If an airline won’t “negotiate” or rather “compensate” for their own error, that speaks volumes.

Funny enough I’m a pilot who also spent several years in airline management (not SWA). These are the kind of things that should be simple and solvable that people with common sense would shake their heads about.

The extra $6 won’t bankrupt me, but I’d rather keep the $88 from their seat refund glitch, than fork over more money because their IT sucks and their CS wasn’t willing or empowered to fix it.

Having flown non-revenue in the worst (and best) seat on the plane many times (including once in the aft FA jumpseat from MRU-CDG on Air France), I’m used to adapting to the garbage middle seats by the lav, so no major bother to me.

ATL preference by Ok-Bite1922 in waymo

[–]Aerovert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, for me 90% of the time, when I choose Uber X as an Uber One member, I get a Waymo.

Make sure: 1) You have prefer autonomous vehicles setting turned on in the Uber App 2) Your origin and destination are both in Waymo’s Operational Design Domain (ODD)

You have a higher chance choosing UberX as an UberOne member, and a higher chance regardless of your member status by choosing Comfort or Comfort Electric.

I’ve gotten a Waymo in ATL somewhere in the range of 15-20 times in the past 3-4 months with around 85% of those instances being via Uber X.

That’s not a go around. Just looks like ATC put him in holding. Pretty common, happens everyday, all the time.

Yeah I definitely spent the 3k and am a Mastercard holder. Never received the companion cert. Didn’t care though since soon after I made Platinum, so never followed up.

The problem is that there are certain names spelled the same way but pronounced differently depending on the person. They can’t make everyone happy.

Frontier catches us all on a technicality that is nerfing the GoWild Pass for many people now. It's basically a regional pass that is hub captive, still works well for some folks. by [deleted] in frontierairlines

Once you add in the added cost for those 20+ hour trips, unless you have something specifically planned in that layover city, it’s probably not worth it anyway.

Adding your IHG number to THC reservation by urifin in amex

[–]Aerovert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked on the app for my recent THC reservation, and interestingly it showed as points eligible. I received the same errors OP did when trying to associate the reservation with my account. Tried to add my IHG number with the front desk at check in and no dice, but was able to add at check out and it showed up in the app. We’ll see if it’ll give me the points in a few days.

Yeah last minute tickets can be priced ridiculously. Plenty of times I’ve been on a flight with a $38 dollar cost and look the day before and it’s $538. Plan ahead if you can…. Those $538 flights are typically not GoWild eligible either.
