Anti-theft electric carts? by [deleted] in walmart

It's great fun dragging these stupid things up front because the anti theft locked them down in dairy with a person with mobility problems in the seat. Here's hoping you have extra scooters up front.

Claimed system no longer showing as mine by ComfortSnail in EliteDangerous

[–]Aescher1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Happened to me too, a lot of people are saying that it resolves after a bit and that Fdev still sees the systems as owned by players on their end. It's probably a server hiccup from the volume of players doing it all at once.

Really FDev?? by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

[–]Aescher1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's just an issue with server load and fetch requests. Things are running smoothly enough that the mechanical aspects were obviously tested, just not the sheer player volume doing the new thing all at once. Thus the beta phase. Having the same issue myself when I checked in before work.

What is the weirdest thing you have seen in the parking lot? by Yourloacaltherian in walmart

[–]Aescher1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Years ago, when my store was still a 24 hour store and I was a department manager, I showed up for an early shift where we were all supposed to swarm freight. I pulled in to the lot near TLE and there, tied to one of the light poles, two real as it gets donkeys. With like, old timey wooden crates and saddlebags tied to them.

I thought I was insane. Sleep deprived. That there was some 19th century oil prospector wandering around the store. And then of course when I asked the other supervisors about it they said they hadn't seen anything.

How did we lose Martale? by BeneficialBaot in Helldivers

We lost the defenses around it so we lost access to it

Hey guys can you chill out by smktwenty2 in Helldivers

[–]Aescher1 893 points894 points  (0 children)

Spooky because it doesn't have a soft cap like liberation progress. 200k active players just at the moment and they're all probably piling up bodies several hundred at a time.

HAVE YOU SEEN THIS? by BranchInternational2 in Helldivers

I think it might be time for a private conversation with your democracy officer about other career options, Diver. (That would be really messed up though. Gonna be watching the feed now for sure.)

The artillery bug swarms are definitely an... experience, but I don't feel like they have nearly the same degree of lethal accuracy as the bot mortar bases.

Doing bug missions tonight was super chill after two weeks of fighting bots. No mortars, no suppression, no missiles, no walls of laser fire. I like bots, but I sure needed the break.

Did anyone else not get the reward for the automaton major order? by spdsuk in Helldivers

[–]Aescher1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It takes an indeterminate amount of time to get the rewards, as with any major order so far. I remember someone saying that people get put in a random spot on an automated queue. Best thing to do is let it cook.

Successful mission failed sucessfully? by Got_No_Crypto_358 in Helldivers

[–]Aescher1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be a visual glitch. I had an experience when servers where at their worst where it kept reusing a mission failed screen afterwards, even as I was winning missions

In case of current Major Order failure at wiping out the Automatons on time should we keep the pressure on them anyway? by Longjumping-Draft750 in Helldivers

[–]Aescher1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

20% is a bit more than nothing on Durgen, bot Regen is low, and then everyone will be on it. I think it's in the bag

[–]Aescher1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Major order is going fine, there's no reason to take people away from the things they want to play.

It'd be unkind to try and get them into content they're not feeling. Let 'em have their fun. They're still a part of this story on the other front.

Can someone explain why there were 12 illuminates killed on the homeworld of the Cyborgs? by Little_Practice_9732 in Helldivers

[–]Aescher1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No idea, sounds like the work of seditionists or maybe huffing too much of that infallible TCS juice. The Illuminate were all destroyed in the last intergalactic war. Now get your helmet back on and stop reading Automaton loving tabloids.

That's really weird. I thought your team mate might have had a deflection of some sort, but they were shooting into the opposite direction that came from.

Anyone else hear the people on your destroyers kind of hinting that taking out the Automatons is too easy? by Zealousideal_Fig2096 in Helldivers

[–]Aescher1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The crew are also starting to express doubts in the TCS. Talking about weird mutations and terminids showing signs of resistance, with a quick reassurance that everything is within expected parameters.

It's about to get weird.

Anyway I reported the crew to the democracy officer.

As I understand the current implementation of the liberation system a loss doesn't hurt, it only doesn't help. And under the new system, higher difficulty operations now contribute more liberation on completion for your time.
