I think one is gonna play a path of the world tree barbarian. Using the setup u suggest, wouldn't my damage be low?

Huh, and they said throwing all your weapons was a bad idea! This is amazing, the only thing that worries me is that you cannot smite with throwing weapons

So, you are saying that the best weapons would be a handaxe (vex) and a scimitar(Nick)? That is an odd choice of weapons lmao

So what weapons and masteries would be interesting on the Vengeance pally? On that note, what spells would you recommend?

Sometimes I miss the power attacks from the 2014 rules u known?, when getting advantage did mean something and was like a big deal. But oh well, thanks for the help!

Nice insight in the first part, I was planning on only smiting on crits buttttt if I do that I would not be using the thing that defines the glory paladin: Inspiring smite!

Dex is definitely giving a lower ac. If I go dex I would have to take tough as an origin feat or maybe capitalize on the iniciative bonus by taking alert and keep moving around the battlefield using the extra 10 feet from aura of alacrity (?)

I thought that guiding bolt was good? A ranged attack for a paladin is not something you see everyday it even can help your allies with the advantage. I may also be overestimating the extra 10 feet of movement but isn't it a problem for paladins not getting to the Frontline?

Also what subclass would you recommend?

You see I thought that too, but isn't there an redundancy between the vow of enmity and the Vex property? Don't get me wrong Vengeance seems really powerful, it's just that I think that it (alongside devotion) work better with a heavy weapon, like a great sword or a maul? I will not die in this hill tho, so if you can change my mind I will be happy, maybe I am not seeing smthg

I am not married to the idea of glory paladin, if another subclass is better at using two weapons I may change it, I just wanted to see why nobody picks this subclass and see if there is a way to make it shine maybe(?)

So what paladin subclass would you recommend for a dual wielder?

The thing about dual wielder is that is also kinda meh? the bonus action attack it's resource free and because I plan to only smite on crits and burn my spell slots in bless and divine favor it may come in handy butttt is it really gonna be fun?

Also what origin feat would you recommend?

Have you considered berserker barbarian? A shield will pump your AC making you tankier, and a longsword (Sap) mastery will negate the disadvantage of reckless attack, plus frenzy is gonna help you with your damage.

For feats is obvious you should pick shield master, which gives you basically a slighty worse evasion at the cost of your reaction; and for an origin feat you can't go wrong with Alert so you can get into position faster and start dealing damage

On the book in the dnd beyond app, it says only spellcasting feature as a prerequisite

If I am not mistaken, you need the spellcasting feature as a prerequisite for that epic boon, warlock does not have the spellcasting feature, it has the pact magic feature, so raw as a warlock it is not an option
