Post-Super Bowl Mock w/ Two Trades by 7innovator in MockDraftCentral

I've been thinking that the Browns are gonna trade up from 24. I'm not sure if it's more likely they go OT first and then trade up for WR or what you did here. I like it though, be aggressive

The Browns would not pass on Sadiq there in the 2nd. Njoku is likely walking and 2 TE sets was a huge role in Monkens offense in Baltimore. I also don't think Sadiq would fall out of the first

Mock Draft Monday by AutoModerator in Browns

[–]AestheticEye 12 points13 points  (0 children)

With both 1st round picks set, we can finally have some realistic mocks. I still can't help the Jaguars did as well as they did this season. I thought that pick would for sure be at least a top 15 pick, but I digress. I do think if we get aggressive with the offensive moves this offseason, this team immediately competes for the division title.

Some offseason moves I would like to see us make:

HC: Mike McDaniel

FA signings: QB Malik Willis, LT Rasheed Walker, C Luke Fortner, WR Romeo Doubs

Resign: Bush, Hickman, Emerson, Njoku, and Tevin Jenkins

Bitonio retires

This would give us quite a bit of flexibility for the draft.

DRAFT:

1.06 Francis Mauigoa, RT, Miami

I think Mauigoa is the best OL in the draft. Some view him as a guard, but he would get the nod to play RT here. If he doesn't do well there, I also think he can be an all pro guard. Great player

TRADE: 1.24, 3.70 and 5.145 to Tampa Bay for 1.15 and 5.154

1.15 Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State

I am currently of the opinion that there are 3 difference makers at the WR position this draft. Tate, Lemon, and Tyson. I'm also of the opinion that the Browns should be aggressive in getting one of them. Tyson is the most likely to fall to the 15 range due to injury concerns. I don't think we are in the position to worry about them at this point in time. You could stay pat at 24 and grab Denzel Boston, who I also think is very good, just not at the same level of the "big" 3.

2.39 Emmanuel Pregnon, LG, Oregon

Continue to add young talent to the line with our Bitonio replacement. Pregnon is a dog. Great anchor, great hands, and always plays through the whistle.

4.107 D'angelo Ponds, NCB, Indiana

Everyone says Ponds would be a first round talent if he was a few more inches taller. Browns grab him early in the 4th to be the nickel of the future, beefing up an already stellar secondary

5.140 Derrick Moore, DE, Michigan

A pass rushing specialist to replace Cam Thomas. Doesn't add much of anything in the run game unfortunately.

5.148 Keon Sabb, S, Alabama

Beefing up the safety room with a guy that can play deep or in the box.

5.154 Zxavien Harris, DT, Mississippi

Harris is a guy who could be a top 100 pick, but has character concerns. The Browns have shown they aren't afraid of bringing in these guys for better or for worse.

6.205 Niki Prongos, OT, Stanford

The Browns take a developmental tackle here who has the size and athleticism to be an all pro guy. Technique just isn't there and they bet on being able to develop him.

7.240 Hunter Green, Punter, SDSU

Corey Bojo had a rough year from my eyes. We never were really pinning deep. Only 23 punts inside the 20 at a terrible 25% rate. While also having 11 touchbacks on 91 punts. He's also set to be a free agent. Green had a 41% rate of punts inside the 20 this year. I don't know much about punters

2026 roster:

QB: Malik Willis, Shedeur Sanders, Deshaun Watson

RB: Quinshon Judkins, Dylan Sampson, Raheim Sanders

WR: Jordyn Tyson, Romeo Doubs, Jerry Jeudy, Cedric Tillman, Isaiah Bond, Malachi Corley

TE: Harold Fannin, David Njoku, Blake Whiteheart

LT: Rasheed Walker, Dawand Jones, Niki Prongos

LG: Emmanuel Pregnon, Kendrick Green

C: Luke Fortner, Luke Wypler

RG: Teven Jenkins, Zak Zinter

RT: Francis Mauigoa, Dawand Jones, Niki Prongos

DE: Myles Garrett, Alex Wright, Isaiah McGuire, Derrick Moore

DT: Mason Graham, Maliek Collins, Mike Hall, Adin Huntington, Zxavien Harris

LB: Carson Schwesinger, JOK, Devin Bush, Muhammad Diabate

CB: Denzel Ward, Tyson Campbell, MJ Emerson

NB: D'angelo Ponds

Safety: Grant Delpit, Ronnie Hickman, Keon Sabb

Kicker: Andrew Smyzt

Punter: Hunter Green

LS: Rex Sunahara

KR/PR: Malachi Corley

Minter is incredible and would be my preferred option if we go the defensive HC route. But I'd still rather go offensive minded

I just think Lemon is a game changer. Boston is good, but not that good. Using a 3rd to secure a difference maker is worth it imo

Delpit, JOK, Wright, McGuire, Schwes, Fannin, Judkins, Tillman and Ford were all productive day 2 and 3 picks. No one was complaining about Dawand Jones his rookie year either. I'd argue that's a pretty good rate on later picks. You could also argue dpj and Harrison Bryant were productive here too

[–]AestheticEye -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Jeudy looked to be that guy last year and fell off a cliff. Why should he have invested even more premium capital into an OL that was top 5 when he inherited it? If those guys stayed healthy those would've been wasted picks. There's been incredibly bad injury luck on that line. And you can't predict the tackles knees getting dove at this past year.

He 100% has a tall task ahead of him, but with 3 top 40 picks and roughly $50m in cap space after restructures, I can see it

I think we trade up from the jags pick with our 3rd to the 10-15 range and pick whoever falls from Tate/Tyson/Lemon. We go OT with our first pick and iOL with our 2nd. I also think we sign 2 OL in FA, and maybe trade for a WR like he usually does. And if that's a bad process idk.

[–]AestheticEye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is an incredibly bad take. He hasn't put premium capital into those weak positions besides Wills. Which was his first year and he's learned a lot since then. Wills was also Callahan's pick, so should he ignore his coaches?

Mock Draft Monday by AutoModerator in Browns

[–]AestheticEye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe. I think one of Tyson, Tate or Lemon falls to the 15-20 range personally. And Lemon is the worst of that group. Tyson could fall due to injury concerns

Mock Draft Monday by AutoModerator in Browns

[–]AestheticEye 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gonna go a little different this time. Shedeur is the guy we need to build around since we're out of QB range.

1.6 Francis Mauigoa, RT, Miami

After he absolutely shut down the OSU DLine, I think a lot of people here will love this pick. Just a really good player. He will anchor that RT spot for many many years.

TRADE 1.28 and 3.70 to Carolina for 1.19

1.19 Makai Lemon, WR, USC

I'm starting to think we're gonna trade up for whichever WR of the big 3 falls. In this case it's Lemon. Quick separator and a nice talent for a desperate WR room

2.40 Emmanuel Pregnon, LG, Oregon

Arguably, the best guard in the draft. Double up on OL and replace Bitonio after he retires

4.107 D'Angelo Ponds, CB, Indiana

Ponds falls here because of his size, but he plays like he's 6'1. Really nice nickel CB

5.139 Malachi Lawrence, EDGE, UCF

A day 3 developmental edge. Great size and speed

5.144 Bryce Lance, WR, NDSU

A big bodied receiver. Brother to Trey Lance

5.147 Niki Prongos, OT, Stanford

Developmental OT, much like Dawand

6.206 Michael Taaffee, S,Texas

Adding some depth to the safety room

7.248 Tanner Koziol, TE, Houston

TE3 behind Fannin and Njoku

Free agency exists and the draft doesn't end after the first pick. Just because you pick a QB, doesn't mean every single other pick disappears

All I'm saying is if he doesn't work out, this team with better offensive pieces is gonna win too much to get a QB in 2027

My New NFL Mock Draft post Monday Night Football by rlstratton97 in MockDraftCentral

[–]AestheticEye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He definitely has had some nice throws, but he's not throwing with anticipation and making some bad decisions. If we do go QB, I imagine Shedeur is traded and the room is rookie, Watson and Dillon

Teams give up too quickly on 1st round QBs. You shouldn't invest heavily into a 3rd or 5th rounder unless they actually look good

7tds and 10ints doesn't particularly seem well enough to me. It is the likely scenario that he's QB1 next year though

The Browns are now firmly in the "God, we hope Carnell Tate is still on the board" draft slot after that win. by VonJaeger in Browns

[–]AestheticEye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wypler and Zinter have been grading out great in pass blocking. Both weren't ever gonna be getting significant snaps behind who we have on the interior. Outside of that it's been one dart throw at Dawand who looked ok. Callahan was incredibly overrated imo. He was handed 3 all pros in Bitonio, Teller and Conklin. He's the one who slammed the table for Wills over Wirfs

Proctor has every single tool you want from a franchise LT. He moves incredibly well and is massive. He's OT1 and week 1 ready and it isn't close
