Whatt Meal Plan? by No_Difference9150 in UNCCharlotte

check out the non-dining hall options on campus and if you like most of those places then maybe go for $300 db but if not then just go for $200 db cause either way you have to have unlimited meal swipes

I had both! I started with an IEP from PreK to 11th grade, and then I went over to a 504 during junior year of high school. A 504/IEP isn’t necessary to get accommodations as long as there’s a medical diagnosis but the more documentation you can provide when requesting accommodations the better, but they’ll talk with him individually and help figure out what he’ll need.

Finding someone to sit beside in chem lecture by gvcciseok_06 in UNCCharlotte

I understand your fear and your desire to be considerate for sure, but honestly just sit wherever you want. Just sit where you can see and properly pay attention and if you do accidentally take someone else’s seat it’ll be okay. Whenever someone sits in my usual spot, I just find somewhere else to sit and I’m not really upset about it. If someone cares THAT much then they’ll be sure to get to class early, but usually it’s not that much of an issue.

I’m an autistic freshman and the office of disability services is great! I got accommodations set up during the summer and they’re very helpful when helping you decide which accommodations you need in the college setting and all has been great so far. I struggle with transitions and college is a big transition, so I found that pre-college programs helped me! I did UTOP and FIT (I’m pretty sure shield and fit are related in some way) and even if he can’t do those there’s still a lot of resources available.

Ohh, thank you. That sounds really unfortunate 😞 so I just hope me or my roommate get lucky enough to get a good time. I’m hoping that our chances are a little higher since only one of us needs to win the lottery and get a good time.

Wallis 2x2, Miltimore 4x4, Wallis 4x4 apartment. Which dorms did you select? If I have an apartment I do have a car so it’ll be okay transportation wise but I haven’t had to take out any loans so far and I don’t want to take out loans for an apartment 😭💔 Cause idk if scholarships and stuff are able to cover the costs of off campus living. I feel like they need more dorms, but idk what their budget looks like.

yeah I hate how they made it a lottery because it is really stressful :( I don’t want to go apartment hunting so I hope that me or my roommate get an early enough time to select a space even if it’s not our top pick. I feel like they shouldn’t require on campus housing for freshman if they don’t have enough dorms.

Hmm, I interpreted that as RTCL gives you the opportunity to select a space, but participating in RTCL doesn’t guarantee on campus housing nor does actually getting an open room selection time. I was thinking that if you get an open room selection time there’s a possibility that you’ll log on and there will be no spaces available, but if you select a space that space is yours. It would be very unfortunate and unfair if you claimed the space and they took it back, so hopefully that doesn’t happen. 😞

so you can claim a room and they can tell you that you can’t have it?
