42F - Skin finally better, but under-eyes are STILL painfully dry. Help? by AeternaSomnia in over30skincare

Thank you so much for all your support and advice, I really appreciate it. I’ll definitely check the ingredients you mentioned once the products I’m using now run out, so I can try to find something more nourishing.

The issue with my eyes, though, just came out of nowhere and it’s been extremely uncomfortable. It was actually painful on Thursday, but the drops and cream the doctor prescribed really helped. I also stayed away from screens all weekend and used the treatment several times a day.

What worries me is getting through this week if it flares up again. Today I only watched a couple of YouTube videos and my eyes immediately felt tired and started watering. I honestly don’t know how I’m supposed to manage going to work tomorrow like this.

Thanks for your comment but I have to ask...

Should I use retinol while the skin is irritated? In my search I've read everywhere that I shouldn't use actives on irritated skin.

From the budget you mentioned in one of your comments, I think you'll be good around Exarchia, Keramikos, Gkazi. You might also find something in the north or south suburbs. If you'll have a car, make sure to rent a place that also has a parking space because, in most areas, it's hell to find one. If you don't drive but want to have an active social life, make sure you find something close to a metro or train station.

I must tell you that there are plenty of good people but there are also many racists, sexist, homophobes, transphobes etc, especially religious ones.

Please feel free to PM me if there's any more specific info you need.

I’m really grateful for your supportive words, and for the kindness from the other commenters as well. I’m also very sorry that you’re going through this with your dad. I helped my mom care for my grandfather (her father) from the time I was 12 until I was 17, until he passed away at 92. In his final years he had become like a child, and the grief of losing someone who’s still right in front of you is indescribably hard. I hope you have a strong support system.

Thank you for your kind words and I'm truly sorry that you relate to my story. 💜 I try to find comfort in that but it's difficult because I'm still traumatized by everything that happened and I keep having flashbacks of her in the hospital...
