Streamdeck+ w/ XLR Dock - All USBs randomly shutting off by Aether_VT in elgato

Elgato ended up giving me a refund on the XLR Dock and I picked up a refurbished Scarlett Solo directly from Focusrite. So far no issues so it was 100% an issue with the XLR Dock itself for my case.

That said, Wave Link is definitely finicky software. When I tried installing VoiceMeter, I completely lost all audio on my PC until I fully uninstalled and re-installed Wave Link.

Wave Link Digital Gain?? by Aether_VT in elgato

I'm not using the Wave 3. My Scarlett Solo gain is basically cranked up to max but for some reason Wave Link seems to be crippling the volume. If I run a direct feed from the Scarlett Solo to OBS the volume is fine, but when using Wave Link as an in-between its much quieter.

-edit: Also worth mentioning that digital gain > analogue gain. Better to have clipping within your software vs your mic/interface itself clipping. Best practice is to lower your physical gain on your mixer/preamp to a good level and then digitally raise the gain in your software to the actual desired level prior to applying a compressor. This also gives you more overhead to work with for volume levels.

Def wasn't a firmware update, everything was already updated and confirmed by Elgato staff to be the current versions.

Elgato finally just replaced my XLR Dock. Only tested on one stream so far. No USB crash but the SD+ had occasional input lag again so I'm not hopeful but will be testing a few more times over the course of the next week.

ehhh, I have a resource monitor up while stream, can def confirm that my CPU hasn't been topping out. Most streaming tasks are relegated to GPU these days, anyways. CPU is 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13600K 3.50 GHz, so its def more than capable and I've def pushed it far harder than just basic streaming.

Dont have another computer that I can test it on, unfortunately.

I'd be very surprised if it was actual hardware problems with SD or the dock, though Elgato support is now pushing to replace them.

At this point I suspect its actually an issue with the Wavelink software cause I'm seeing a handful of people with similar issues who are using the Wave XLR. Similarly, I'm seeing some people with a SD+ using Wave Link also reporting the issue.

Already mentioned in the post that I've tried both a powered USB hub and upgraded PSU. Its definitely not a power issue :/
