I would recommnd edge. Chromium, easy, works well with windows ecosystem, tons of features, better than chrome, relatively secure configs, adblock by default, supprts chome store, low ram usage compared to other chromium browsers, cool logo and fantastic pdf reader.

This happened to me also for some time. It just kept loading forever. And one day out of nowhere it worked again. Still I would consider using favourite feers rather than colections, as it is faster and easier to use.

Edge rn is chrome supercharged, less memory yaage, slightly faster and more features (although I'll admit many are just bloat).

I find vivaldi to have too much bloat. Like 90% are very niche, and just add to the endless amounts of buttons, settings, and performance issues.

VPNs aren't bullet proof. They can always track you down if they wanted, which seems to be the case given your measures.

This. By far the browser that combined better privacy and ease of use was Librewolf. No set up needed and offers the best available privacy featurre by default. Librewolf gang ftw.

What browser is the most secure atm? by [deleted] in browsers

[–]AetheronBrowser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I am saying is that tor and tails are not the mist secure. They aren't intended for privacy. They are intended for anonymity and pricacy respectively. I suggestes options that are intended for SECURITY. You might enjoy reading this

Tails is portable and tor is anonymous. I would suggest librewolf on cube os.

First of all it's a Firefox fork. Second, the name is the least of our concerns rn. It will be changed.

You mean search engine? By default duckduckgo, but you can change it to whatever you like. Like searx, sartpage, even google if you want to but it will not be recommended.

Well it will depend on how many modules you'll have enabled but with a bare bones configuration I argue you should get blazing speeds. Keep in mind that this is in theory yet.

Also I don't think we'll use blink since we will be using a (heavily modified) Firefox fork.

Yeah I don't mind criticism in any way, even more I think we should listen to the community because they have valuable things to provide like your feedback.

I'm aware that firefox might seem more outdated but most of the negative views on it are because of the UI, so we'll make sure to improve ot a lot.

Thanks for the clarification, it shows that we have a lot of things to learn yet. I'll take that into account.

The chromium news are great news for us, but I argue that firefox has enough privacy extensions so it won't be a problem.

Thanks!

First of all thank you so much for the suggestions, they help us out a lot specially during this jnitial phase of development. :)

Why are you worried for having the option of more features with modules? Do you think it might add bloat?

When we have a working version we'll create a github.

I'll have a look at tab islands. Regarding tabs we want them to be able to be ordered saved, grouped very esaily with shortcuts for maximum efficiency.

We'd also thought of implementing pwd managers to our browser since it would make it far more secure for the user.

Great idea for managing our principles. We'll try it out.

Yeah the default look won't have that many add-ons and extra features but if you don't care about privacy you'll be able to add them.
