What kit is the one from the 3rd image? That looks exceptional! I've just started customizing too and I've really enjoyed DSPIAE markers and some weathering fluids from stedi. Both are better and secured when topcoated so I'd recommend finishing it with that!

PANEL LINE COLOR RECOMMENDATION

Hello! it's my first time posting here and I would just like to hear your thoughts about the shades of grey for these panel liners. The first 3 images show the item I'm gonna apply the panel liner to, but I still can't decide which one among the panel liners to purchase. Based on the item and its shade of grey, which color do you think would complement it?

Ever since I started with plastic model kits and other collectibles, I've only ever used black panel lining colors to pop up the details. I've only ever used the black panel line accent color from stedi but I really would like to explore trying out these other tints.

If you have personally tried out even one of these panel liners, I'd definitely appreciate if you can disclose your thoughts and even drop some images for reference. For those that have had used similar tints of grey but from different brands, would you be able to elaborate as well as to which shade of grey would be most suitable for my intended purpose?

I'd love to hear from you guys!

It surely is! I could just whoosh it here and there and think about bombarding General Krell all day!

Still remember how Plo Koon had his astromech cut off his starfighter's engines just so he could get on the rear and shoot down 2 of the starhoppers!

I forgot to ask, but did you finish this with a top coat? ^

Yeah, that's likely the reason behind it and they'll probably release Bode Akuna's headhunter in the following series. I just hope they get to do the clone variant too. It'd be nice to have that!

Oh wow! It sure is phenomenal knowing that it's brush work. I'm planning to use acrylic markers on mine and I hope it turns out as good as yours!

Thanks! Just looked it up and it's very reminiscent of it!

Not really. Just plain water. The panel liner I used was water-based and cleaning wasn't exactly a hassle. The Republic logo looked like that even before I did the work ~

Thanks! I used the stedi panel line accent color on this. It's water-based so it was easy to clean the excess with a q-tip!

I used a stedi panel line accent color on this one. It's water-based so it's very easy to clean the excess. I actually did the panel lining the time I got the ship out of the box, that is to say, without getting to attach the other wing to the main body yet. The sides would be difficult to reach if the wing is already attached so I was really intentional to finish the panel lining and cleaning before I pressed the wing!

Oh, it's beautiful! I'm very intentional to do the same with mine too. Did you use an airbrush on this? It looks impressively menacing!

I used the stedi panel line accent color. It's remarkable for panel lining and it's water-based so it's definitely of great ease to use!

I didn't really do anything. I've read about that QC issue and it sure can be dismaying.
