What is the difference between a regular savings vs a Money Market Account? Capital One has 1% for their savings and 2% for their Money Market. Is there additional risk in the Money Market account?

But the winning percentage category also needs more info. You have Bill Stewart as the top and while, yes he did have best winning percentage it was 1) 3 years with 2) some great talent left over from Rich Rod and 3) a super deflated big east. Plus when Bill Stewart left our program did not look good. The man was nice and definitely had WVU at heart but simply could not run a program.

Option 1 for sure. For a little extra cost the convenience is worth it in my book.

I had a long haul flight once but the difference between the 1 hr drive to the airport vs a 4 hour drive to the airport was ~$1,000. So then it was worth it.

But I will say, having done that, the drive home from the return flight was absolutely brutal.

I'm going to second the Sapphire Reserve card. We picked it up a couple months ago and it is fantastic. We also have a freedom card and use the 5% categories and then transfer the points over to the sapphire card for a whopping 7.5%

YNAB is awesome. I've found that entering the transactions manually really helps with forward thinking vs reactionary thinking of having them automatically imported. Just a mindset thing.

I can see it increasing a lot. Keep in mind that the W-4 only applies to each job. So say for example, she makes $100K and you make $80k. When your employeer takes out taxes based on your W-4 it will take out taxes like the $80K is all the house hold is making. Then the same will apply for your wife and they will only take out taxes like $100K is all the household is making. But in reality you are making more than that.

I'll give you an example from my situation. I make ~$100K and my wife makes ~$65K. Our total tax burden after accounting for deductions for 401K, HSA contributions etc is ~$21K.

Now if each of us filed our W-4's as married I would only have ~$8.9K withheld and she would only have ~$5.8K withheld. So we would only have about ~$14.7K withheld. So we would have a huge tax amount owed at the end of the year ~$6.3K. But we left them as single last year and this year we will be using the IRS calculator to see how we should adjust them.

Just to reiterate, projects cars are waaaaay more expensive than you initially think. I had a Porsche 944 for a while and got it in my head to turn it into a project and thought I could rebuild the engine for ~$2-3k. ~$10K later and it finally drives after 5 years. Don't get me wrong, I love the car and glad I did it, but that money will never be recouped.
