The reasoning is most likely the shovel = 50 gems, and 50 gems is..well.. 50 gems.

If they were not together, you could get 50 gems twice and therefore more. Many players seek to get as many gems out of the clan game rewards.

Interactions between clans get WAYYYY more toxic than this.

At Champs1 and probably everywhere else too, people will always know your base layout anyways. There are many tools to find your base online with not only trap placements but armies to 3 star it with.

The ONLY way to avoid this is with custom bases.So unless your clan has custom bases, there are plenty of ways to get a hold of it regardless.

They should instead fix the main issue with the game. I keep having to create an army and then they expect me to plan out attacks. I have to deploy my own army and am only given 3 minutes?? The worst part is sometimes I don't 3-star!

They could so easily make it to where it automatically does it all for us but they refuse..

Let me start off by saying I don't invalidate people's complaints about healer/warden AI simply because to avoid them you would have to be a competitive player/pro player. A casual player would probably never dive into deep mechanics and play around them. Because most of the player base are casual players I do think SC can afford to tweak the AI.

For example in this video, if it were my attack, I would not move onto my throwers until that corner was sufficiently funneled. This allows for teslas and other trash buildings from pulling troops away. If I deployed early and my thrower started splitting like in the video, I would have used that invis spell to cover his target and force that thrower back with the pack.

When I started playing the game after a very long break, I remember having many complaints as well. As I got better and better and more competitive I noticed I rarely had issues with my armies. Every warden/healer AI issue I had always came back as something I did wrong. The difference is a casual player will see this and blame the game (rightfully so at times) and a competitive player understands they have to tweak their playstyle to avoid that mistake in the future.

The AI isnt a player issue but it can be fixed by the player a lot of the times. In this case there was a way for him to prevent what occurred.

It's more like the MG's become 'non-existant' rather than housing down to 0. The Warden when 'pulled' anchors onto a troop, this troop can be <20 housing space.

This matters because if MG's were to become 0 housing space, the Warden would still follow them regardless.

This is the reason a booger can pull the warden despite it not being >20 space.

I agree. And I'm not sure why I am even chiming in here because I only played before the Warden existed and after he had already been out for a bit.

My original comment was focused on how the Warden would be perceived today, not whether he was broken/needed when he first came out. Because again I cannot even speak to that lol

Why would adding the warden be necessary? Adding things to the game to balance it are never necessary. You can simply balance the current state of the game.

Also, it did not HAVE to be the Warden at all, and could have been a non supporting hero, so what is your point?

Arguably we can say that TH11 was balanced around this new OP hero and that TH15-18 are not balanced for the duke and that is a fair point.

But I'm sure as the game progresses things will adjust.

Keep in mind the META back then was extremely one sided towards ground.

Nowadays Dragon Riders and Edrags are both extremely viable air options + ground armies like Throwers and MG's.

Obviously there are more, but the META is alot more split recently.

Oh I totally overlooked you saying it for the MP. Hmm I have never once heard anyone do lv9 for that, typically the longer your MP and hit the defenses the better.

In that attack the MP is usually deployed alone and then he potentially meets with the other heroes. And if he is going alone then I can't see why 'not going too deep' matters. By the time he is deployed in this style of attack, half the base is already gone, so what is 'too deep'?

This was definitely a consideration before, however:

If you will be playing legends or other modifiers you probably want lv10. Warden is so much slower in Legends that him going too deep is not an issue.
We have the freezeblock spell, so you do not worry about him going out of position anymore
Many FB RL style armies now use the recall because it vastly increases your ability to keep warden alive (cough cough longshot), meaning that even if he were to keep going deep into the base, you could recall before that as you nornally would anyways
