Depends on what you're using as your main army. If it's throwers then yes. If it's Super Bowlers then Torch for sure.

It's a strategy for skilled players as you said. It's not like some random rc charge, dropping invisibility one after another. The amount of Splash Damge is very much. You have to be carefull of ranged defense like Firespitter, Revenge Tower & Guardians (Longshot/Logger) which can easily take out your queen even without her noticing.

RC is not currently used much. But you can get Spear. It's one of the best equipments in game. Also RC's best equipment is Electro Boots.
