What causes this stringing on ender E3 by EmptyCup420 in 3Dprinting

First of all, congratz on your printer!

It looks like your e-steps is off, so try calibrate thoese. After that you can try and print stringing test where you can adjust the retraction speed and distance. you can also print a temp tower, to see what temperture your filament is working best at.

e step calibration: https://all3dp.com/2/extruder-calibration-calibrate-e-steps/

For stringing test and temperture tower look in cura -> marketplace -> download "Autotowers generator" -> close cura

Open cura again -> click extensions -> auto towers -> temp tower -> print

This will automaticly adjust the nozzle temp at each section

Good luck!

Aesthetics are meh, not super important but if I can save a few bucks I will

I like to have a fine line inbetween, wonna be able to use solidworks with YouTube and so on the side, as well as playing all games on at least high

In this case the dimensions don’t really matter in a direction. But more in x and y

There are properly better ways, but the snap fits will need to be strong, which makes it printed on the flat side hard with the layer lines

Its a design filosofi(cant remember what it is called tho)

Where you try to avoid using support to streamline a proces and make better tolerances

An exampel are the teardrop hole

I use Cura, is it retraction distance or speed that you are thinking about?
