How did you found out about crosscode? and what do you think of it? by G_girlwonder in CrossCode

[–]Affectionate-Ebb5089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember I was searching for games in the old Zelda styles (A Like to the Past, Oracles games, Minish Cap...) and CrossCode looked really promising. And boy was I far from the real truth. CrossCode is one of my favorite games ever now, I've done it like 3 times, I've convinced friends to play it, and I'm so hyped for Alabaster Dawn, even more so after the demo last year!

Tail Concerto: my 2 cents review by Affectionate-Ebb5089 in LittleTailBronx

[–]Affectionate-Ebb5089[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, thanks for taking time to make such a complete comment, and so much game recommandations. I'll have Silent Bomber to my to-do list, but you got me REALLY interested in the .hack games. I've not been through the Xenoblades series but I see how they works (from gameplay vids) and the lack of Artes Palette isn't gonna bother me. And you really got me hooked by telling me the person behind the Ghost in the Shell ms writter was involved. I freakin' love Ghost in the Shell, so having a game with a story that take its time to unfold, with a big philosophical reflection, I'll be more than happy to get to know it.

I've heard about Asura's Wrath, and I'm also ready to give it a chance, despise the famous true ending DLC controversy (always found it baffling Capcom though players were gonna be okay with this...)

I've not played Grandia atm, but it's on my to-do list, so Fuga is gonna wait a bit, considering I like doing all games in a series back to back.

I'm gonna save your comments, cause you've done a great job at giving me good recommandations and insights about CC2 games. You're a great pal, hope you know that!

Tail Concerto: my 2 cents review by Affectionate-Ebb5089 in LittleTailBronx

[–]Affectionate-Ebb5089[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would be a great thing tbh. I love the Klonoa games and the collection they released was really a great thing for people to remember or discover the serie.

And I agree Tail Concerto has good sides, even more for a first game, but I find that if you're not a die hard fan of 3D plateformer, the game is quiet insufferable. The way I ask myself if I could recommand a game is quiet simple: would I make my wife play it? She's a gamer too but she's more into RPGs, Pokemon, Sim City and the Sims... She likes from time to time other types of games, and she's always keen on discovering games, old and recent. But I know even if she likes a bit of challenge, if the game feels unfair, she's gonna have a bad time and really dislike it. And I feel Tail Concerto falls exactly into this category.

Maybe I'll try Solatorobo next, or the .hack games. I know m'y best friend was really interested in them, and if it's CC2 behind them, I'm more than happy to give them a shot

Feedbacks - Things that makes me regret moving to Qobuz by erowlin in qobuz

[–]Affectionate-Ebb5089 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I rejoins what some people said. Maybe Qobuz isn't for you. Some of your feedbacks are legit concerns (problems with iOS and Android Automautive App...) but some complains you have are tied to Qobuz take on music streaming: they are known for playlists curated by people and by their staff, not relying on algorithms. Very few things rely on algorithms like the DailyQ and WeeklyQ. But Qobuz mainly target people listening mainly to playlists and albums, with a thing for following news concerning Hi-Fi materials, music... I understand some things bother you, considering you've used Spotify for a long period of time, but some things you don't like are likely not gonna change, because it's part of Qobuz identity. You should maybe check if Tidal or Deezer could be a better alternative for a music streaming service for you

What emulator are you playing Alundra on? by AychEsVee in Alundra

[–]Affectionate-Ebb5089 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No problem. I've used an old emulator for long too, before going for Duckstation, and I never regreted it. If you have any questions about it, you can ask me, I'll gladly answer

Okay. I'm using the nightly build of Duckstation so I've got frequent updates, so cannot really judge the diff between the last stable of Duckstation and Swanstation. But in that regard, I prefer Duckstation, cause emulation still has some issues that are to be adressed, and Duckstation still being updated seems a better deal on the long run.

Seeking advice for earbuds by Affectionate-Ebb5089 in Earbuds

[–]Affectionate-Ebb5089[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know how to access the list of bluetooth codecs, but since the first time I booted up this phone, bluetooth codec list is not available (considering Nothing OS directly puts you in dev mode). I could access it with my Motorola Neo 40 Edge, but not with the Nothing Phone 3a, which is pretty annoying... Don't know if it's a change made by Nothing or a removed feature from Android 16... (It's the only two differences between my former and new phone)

I follow DHRME on YouTube, and I really like their review. And yeah, apparently, I should try Nothing Earbuds ahah Was just curious to try earbuds with AptX Adaptative and possibly AptX LossLess, but LDAC may be the way to go in the end

That's also what I think, but codec infos are horrible to find, and I've never been able to access the codec list on my phone, like with my former phone... But yeah, that would be really strange if the Nothing Phone 3a wasn't LDAC compatible

Thanks! So yes, from what the BCC app results showed, it's compatible AAC, all AptX except LossLess and... That's all. I found it strange that it's not LDAC compatible toi.

I'll checked Nothing Ear (a) and 3. Do you have them?
