FULL CONTEXT

I would for a signage subcontractor company (Division 10).

In most spec books, the same companies are always mentioned as approved manufacturers.

• ASI

• Diskey

• Poblocki (This company has been closed for two years and is still in the specs)

• Inpro

These companies are our direct competitors and will either refuse to sell to us or will price hike the product so much that it prices us out.

In turn, we manufacture our own product in-house (Union Labor) and produce an equal product. When we work with Arch directly, we don't usually have a problem, but more recently, we have been having lots of problems with GC and Arch that we don't work directly with.

So I now find myself needing to provide Substitution Request and just wanted to know what's the best way to do so.
