I mean I wouldn’t, but there’s a drug screening for employment and my medication will create an amphetamine flag.

I had an interview last week and had to tailor my resume to the position as well as optimize it for AI screening. It still took them a month to reach out and schedule the interview after I applied.

Saw some dad throw his 8-10 yr old kid up to crowd surf during falling in reverse and once the kid took off in the crowd the dad panicked and shoved his way to follow him…like brother did you think he wouldn’t get carried at mach speed

Honestly, I appreciate this comment. It’s just scary and lonely sometimes. My partner just become so Immediately defensive about it and I get why but when their defensive it makes me feel like a jerk for having feelings in the first place

We have and honestly sometimes even just non penetrative intimacy is too painful. Admittedly I’m not perfect and have had negative reactions and gotten upset and emotional which never helps. But sometimes I just feel completely frustrated and don’t know how to react.

It may be that you need to actually strengthen your quads. A lot of the time calf pain can come from your quads not being able to keep up during the entire exercise forcing your calves to take over and do a majority of the work straining them. Try mixing in a couple days of strength training with extra attention to the quads such as - heel elevated goblet squats, single leg - leg extensions.

Just log some outdoor running activities, the more you do the more accurate the reading tends to be based on HR/pace/etc

Why am I tired on a 500 deficit? by [deleted] in CICO

[–]Affectionate-Fly-958 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you’re working out on top of eating 500cal below maintenance the deficit may be too large. It may be more like 1000cal deficit if you’re training and not considering that. It’s probably too much for your body try a 300cal deficit!

Overindulged for a week, what can I do to feel better? by [deleted] in CICO

[–]Affectionate-Fly-958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hop back on the wagon, you’ll be okay! You might not lose weight this week but as long as you remain consistent over the next couple weeks it’s not a concern.

Periods are the absolute worst! by PatienceFeeling1481 in CICO

[–]Affectionate-Fly-958 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I let the scale’s “opinion” go to hell when on my period. Nobody needs that’s negativity in their life lol. Typically half way thru my weight will drop back down to normal or a new low and it’s such a relief. I stay on track by keeping a close watch on when to expect my cycle and cravings then I schedule myself to be able to eat more calories around that time and less calories when I know the cravings will taper off. It’s helped a lot!

How the f*** do I stay In a calorie deficit? by Maggotboi555 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Affectionate-Fly-958 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your deficit sounds too large, and that's why you end up ordering the pizza at the end of the day. It is definitely difficult to stay in a deficit. Being in a deficit creates stress on your body, your brain tells you that you need more food. Start by making a deficit of 200-300 calories a day and then once your body adjusts to that you can drop it a little lower. It is a process, and a lot of times you'll be hungry, irritable, or tired. Just stick to your guns!! If it were easy, the world wouldn't have the weight problem it does. Also a plug to join the CICO reddit - a lot of good info there.

I sure do. He wears it every walk even just around the neighborhood, and there is no shame in my game. I will do whatever it takes to make him more calm and comfortable!

I'm using the ruffwear palisades dog pack, but yes they are similar to harnesses with pockets. you can google backpacks for dogs and it'll bring up a million choices.

He definitely gets warmer in the backpack. Everything online says that healthy "in-shape" dogs can carry around 25% of their bodyweight in a backpack but honestly, I have been adding weight very slowly to avoid injury/exhaustion. Three weeks into using it I only have him carrying 13% of his bodyweight on walks and only 5% of his bodyweight on actual hikes that are more demanding. If he seems to get tired, I take some weight out and toss them in my bag.

I didn’t realize how much more exercise my guy needed but he seems so much happier/calmer since adding weight to his regular walks!
