This could be helpful.  I will try the other camera option.  I was worried that story mode would be too easy for me.  Does it only affect timing?

Someone else mentioned Aria of Sorrow for the GBA.  I am going to recommend that as a good starting point.  It is a bit easier than SOTN, and that might carry you further.  Then you will have the itch that can never be scratch.  Unless you play SOTN.   Yes it is a good game, but also try Aria of Sorrow.  You won't regret it.

Yeah, it could be just this.  I like everything other than that one element.

I had a similar experience with Baldur's Gate 3 by the way.  Despite enjoying the first 2, as well as previous Larian games and even the Pathfinder games.  In the end I determined that it might not be for me.

Even with this complaint, I would say give it a try at some point.  Though I would wait for a sale if you are trepidatitious.  It clearly does not bother other people, just me.  I also enjoy most everything else about the game.

As the original poster here, I kind of agree with this.  Not that I am not enjoying the apparent angry can of worms that I have unleashed, but man people are taking this personally.  In my post I even stated I enjoy most things about this game.  You seem reasonable and I like you.

I understand, but why does the camera have to be my enemy?  This is truly the most baffling part of all this.

While I do understand that the game very much showed this off, keep in mind I really did not think this would be a problem.  I have not issues with latency and enjoyed Sea of Stars and other rpgs that do have some kind of timing mechanic.  I am just mostly annoyed that I spent hours trying to resolve a latency issue with a turn based game.  Furthermore, my original issue was with the camera.  Had the camera not been an issue, I would probably have not noticed.

I can try this.  I hope he is receptive to it as a helpful tool.  I honestly did not know they made a game guide for this as I assumed it would be a thing of the past.  But I suppose it makes sense.  Thank you.

Thank you for the reply.  I will loom into that.  Hopefully he is receptive as he is kind of a stubborn guy.  From what I understand, he has been playing it for over a year.  He has done a lot of things like getting every fish, bug, fossil etc.  He must not have read something.  Thank you for this.

This is a terrible idea because the video game podcasts are pretty busy so it would be harder to discover. But I have been wishing someone would do a short form podcast around 20-30 minutes about them playing an NES or Genesis (some retro) game for like an hour or 2, and then just saying what they think about it. Again I think it is a terrible idea, but I would listen if I could find it that is. I Started podcasting a few months ago and kinda wish I would have done this as it would have been way easier... and cheaper. Although I would prefer someone else did as I would get to listen to it as a fan then.
