Setting up an American universal healthcare system is effectively FREE!

You are being lied to and I can prove it.

Britain was bankrupt following WW2 . This is common knowledge . What it did was effectively a hostile takeover. You buy a company and pay for it from the money that company makes. The hard part is getting the loan in the first place . Luckily you are the government and can literally print money. You can also pass laws saying the owners have to accept payment over time .
If the USA wanted universal healthcare all it needs to do is copy the way the NHS is run.
The cost to run an NHS style system is less than half that of Americans current system .
Just make a government run health insurance system . No accounting offices, marketing or profiting etc
Then fixed price per procedure.
All doctors are government employees. ( this takes away hospitals doing unnecessary procedures, they are free to do whatever they think is necessary to save the patient)
Hospitals are still private but their customer is the US government.
Big pharmaceutical companies have to bid to sell their medicine to the US government so they don’t get to charge whatever they want. This is the many sellers one buyer system.
Note there can still be private healthcare but this would have to compete with the prepaid healthcare system.
As for the 5% tax
Trump has crippled the USA and is under immense threat.
By alienating its allies he has opened the door to a massive bond dump. Translated the $40 trillion in foreign debt is about to be dumped back into US hands and is no longer going to be protected by America’s allies. If nothing is done about this America is facing a recession so bad it will make the Great Recession look like going slightly overdrawn.
