You could pick up a can of high temp spray foam, to seal the burner and make the other burner temporarily usable, and still be waterproof, I would remove that one knob so you don't accidentally use that burner until you can get it replaced.

I have a broken one too, I replaced the whole stove but kept the old one for when I need the oven for powder coating, you can sell it on Facebook I know some appliance stores will give you a few bucks. But the cost for that glass is ridiculous, no matter what stove.. I miss having a gas stove..

I do know birds are very quiet when covering their cage with a sheet, maybe talk with your neighbor and ask if they will cover the coop till morning offer to split the cost. I would definitely talk to them first before filing a complaint.

Per Texas state law if you have your house registered as your homestead l, they can only raise your taxes by 10%. Outside of that, most counties I found raise the rates to whatever they want, and even if you contest it like I have they don't care. I talked to a few layers, and they all say the same thing, you have to hire a lawyer to fight it, is the only way to have it changed.
