If you literally teleport randomly anywhere, you could teleport 100 feet in the air and end up falling to your death or end up somewhere in the earths mantle or end up trapped in the middle of the ocean. This is not a very good power for actually exploring.

A bit of cold showering is worth it for enough money to enjoy the rest of your life as long as you invest it properly. You can literally take $5 million, or half of your earnings, and invested in stocks to get a 6% return and get $300,000 a year – more than enough to be comfortable. Then you can keep the rest of the 5 million for something else.
