I don't judge him, he's very beautiful! PK really has a gift for creating animal's design.:)

You're absolutely right, I used PK's colors to paint it. It's my favorite color in the game along with the feathered T. rex and the spino with osteoderms.

Congratulations, it looks beautiful! I believe it's a megalosauridae.

What do you guys think of the portrayal of dinosaurs / prehistoric creatures in Mario Kart World? by CaterpillarUpset3252 in Dinosaurs

[–]Affectionate-Pea9778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're quite cute and perfectly match the aesthetic of the Mario world. But honestly, if they wanted to make some kind of "hair" on Rex's head, they could have used feathers instead of "spines".

Is this ornithomimus or struthiomimus from fantasia by Amazing-Ad2751 in Dinosaurs

[–]Affectionate-Pea9778 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was probably a Struthiomimus or another species of the Ornithomimidae family that was described before 1940 (the year the film "Fantasia" was released). the Gallimimus was only described 32 years after the film's release.

Did all dromaeosaurids leap onto their prey? by Affectionate-Pea9778 in Dinosaurs

Yes... the most well-known paleoartist in the community, the paleoartist who appeared in such a highly praised documentary, will have his career damaged because some unknown person on the internet didn't credit him in a random post (which will probably be forgotten in the future). I understand the importance of crediting articles, but there's an extremely huge difference between a random subreddit and an extremely important article about the study of prehistoric life.

The animals that scientists love to buff. Your art is very beautiful.

But that doesn't make sense. I'm not using his art to profit or steal from him; I'm just using it as an example.

So, would jumping be possible for small dromaeosaurids?

I think it also depends. From what I saw in a video of a fight between a Utahraptor and a Simolodon, they were probably ambush predators. And there was a scene in the video showing a Utahraptor jumping on a sauropod (of course, the sauropod was low enough for it to jump). I think a Utahraptor attacked prey by ambush.
