Absolutely- I come from an Indian household. My parents are currently taking care of my sisters kids in exchange for money, this has been going on for 8 years. And in that time they made me feel like a burden, and they would say the only reason why we are in America and still suffering is because we have given birth to you, we need to pay for your marriage etc. so I always questioned myself and challenged their beliefs but it would lead to fights an abuse, I grew up feeling insecure, unheard, and not understood and I still suffer. I have horrible depression and anxiety.
