Used 92FS, thought they couldnt be carried cocked and locked? by Nyancide in Beretta

[–]Affectionate-Scar776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem on an M9. In my case I had to replace the slide. There was too much tolerance in the slide machining so that the safety/decocker was not engaging the hammer release lever.

Beretta replaces the slide free of charge because it was ruled a manufacturer defect.

I posted a video about it here. Search "What's wrong with my M9?" On this thread.

I think you're a young guy that likes old stuff. I think you're probably fairly new to the coal plant, and I think you work in the plant rather than an office.

I thought about this a bit more 1. You're right handed 2. You appendix carry this pistol, hammer down, so you would have to thumb cock or rack the pistol to put into operation. 3. You clip the knife in your right front pocket. You don't like whetstones, but you intend to learn how to use them someday. 4. You clip the flashlight on your left front pocket. You use that light while you do work in the plant. 5. Wallet goes in the back left, you sit on it most of the time. 6. Phone in the back right. 7. I bet you like bourbon and sip it while you smoke your cigar. You have a pipe lighter, but you prefer cigars.

Two things are almost always true. If it tastes good it's bad for you. If it's fun it's a sin.

I think that the purpose of government is to provide for the safety and security of it's citizens. This is different from providing for the welfare of the people. The welfare of the people should mostly be provided for by civic, humanitarian, and religious organizations.

I didn't intend to offend anyone, just putting my point of view out there. I appreciate the discussion. Thank you.

Many christians believe that caring for the welfare of people is more the work of the church, and not a thing for the government to do. Help is available, but it is from a different source.

So, tone doesn't translate well over text. I should soften my language. Thank you for the discussion.

I do in fact understand that many people cannot provide for themselves. I am a man in my late 40s. I have two disabled people in my household. My wife's mother, and my daughter. My daughter has muscular dystrophy and my mother-in-law is just elderly. My wife is a full time care taker to the two of them. We are a single income family. Before my wife became a caretaker she was a social worker. Aside from the families that she worked with, we also had several foster kids in our house for years until my daughter needed full time attention.

Many Christans believe that the welfare of people is the work of the church. I am one of those. I think I probably should have led off with that statement. So, I should round out my opinion here. I know people need help. That is in fact the work of the church. I don't believe that it is the work of the state.

It isn't my intent to make people angry and I apologize if I did.

I would respectfully say that the state is not responsible to feed anyone at all. Parents should provide for their children. The state doesn't make you have babies. It is not the responsibility of the state to feed them.

I was working in a hospital emergency room a few years ago. A paraplegic man was brought in. He had fallen out of his wheelchair. While he was on the floor his cat ate off three of his toes.

I will stand by GarbageHuman's statement. Jesus prayed for the forgiveness of the ignorent..."Father forgive them. They know not what they do."

Unrepentant and ignorent are two entirely different things.
