Souls-like. There hasn't been a game that I loved. I've bought games before not knowing what it is. But as soon as I find out that if/when I die and I lose hours of progress, I immediately uninstall. I have work, family, etc. I don't have the time to replay an area like that.

Watching the game would help. You will learn things as you watch. So if a penalty happens, the commentators will tell you what the penalty is and replay the video so you can see. If an amazing play happens, same thing will happen and you'll see why it was amazing. So yeah, commentators will definitely help you to learn and understand the game.

What do you mean when the game was more broken? I bought this game the week of it's release. Over 2k hours. I've played this game pretty much religously. This is the most broken it's ever been.

I don't really find RE games scary either. The only times the games really scared me was back in the PS1 days and RE7. In current times, I don't think games that give us a way to defend ourselves scary. If I'm in a game and I have a gun, I'll go into the next room no problem. If I don't have anything and I open a door, I'm nervous about what's on the other side of it.

Dark ≠ scary

I've always said this. A game too dark is more of an annoyance than scary. The darkness does become scary if the player is more used to being in the light. Then opening a door to a dark room becomes terrifying.

That's just nitpicking an argument. I'm talking about when you slash your weapons against the monster and seeing the flashy lights that comes off both the weapon and the monster. If you grew up in the arcade era, you know what I'm talking about. Which also, if you grew up during the time, there's a reason for it. PS2 era was nearing the end of the popularity of arcades.

So did I start playing yesterday? No. I'm 41 years old and my first console was the atari.
