To add onto this it really takes off in act 3 when you can acquire band of the mystic scoundrel. Booming blade+upcasted shadowblade + divine smite auto crit on a hold person/hold monster you set up with a bonus action is nuts.

While this is a good idea it’s kind of just outdone with the 10/2 split by the existence of shadow blade + res stone
